HOW IT WORKS

* Filmmakers place a project/film on IndieMaverick.net.
* IndieMaverick.net only accepts film projects over 60 minutes in length.
* Filmmakers nominate a required budget up to $1.5 million USD
* Filmmakers input all relevant information, including the uploading of images, scripts and whatever else they believe will help them raise their budget.
* Investors browse films and choose which they believe will be successful.
* Investors choose an amount to invest.
* Investors can pull out their investment in a film at any time until its budget has been reached, after which the funds are locked in.
* When the budget has been reached an IndieMaverick.net rep will contact the filmmakers (for films with budgets under 50k) or meet with them (for budgets over 50k) to ensure the filmmakers are not fraudulent and to assess if they can make the film for the budget they have requested. Our emphasis here at IndieMaverick.net is protecting investors’ monies.
* IndieMaverick.net releases the pre-production budget to the filmmakers.
* Filmmakers must keep an on-line diary to keep investors up to date on how the film is progressing.
* The production budget is released to the filmmakers.
* The post-production budget is released to the filmmakers.
* Filmmakers deliver a final cut of the film to IndieMaverick.net.
* Filmmakers deliver a trailer to IndieMaverick.net which is uploaded to the site.
* Filmmakers enter film to festivals and approach distributors and sales agents.
* All sales and profits are split between the producers 30% and the investors 70%.
* Producers must pay investors profits to IndieMaverick.net every July 30th who will distribute these profits to investors.
* Limited-edition DVD’s are mailed to all investors.
