Welcome to Medicfile.net. My name is Michael Mathis and I am the president and creator of Medicfile.net. I would like to take this opportunity to give you some information about my background and why I developed this site.

While working many years on the streets as a paramedic, I found out that gathering essential medical information from patients can be a very difficult and sometimes an impossible task. Unconscious or unable to communicate, panic, fear, or pain, from emotional distress; and times of crisis create confusion and disorientation, especially for the elderly and ill. These are just a few reasons a person may not be able to effectively communicate with medical personnel.

Knowing a persons medical history, allergies, and the medications they take is vital information for Healthcare Providers in determining a course of treatment. If no one was able to get in touch with their emergency contacts, time would become a factor in that treatment, and that time can be critical in an emergency situation.

My goal in creating Medicfile.net was to give people a way to put all of their pertinent medical information on a secure website that can be updated as their medical history changes. With the technology that we have today every physician and hospital has access to the internet and with Medicfile.net this is the future for all of us to keep our vital medical information with us at all times and at the fingertips of all physicians and hospitals.

I have priced this at a very inexpensive price that I think everyone can afford. For me and my family this is a service we cannot live without. I hope everyone will benefit from this new service in that it may save yourself or your loved ones life in a time of crisis.

How does medicfile.net work?

By carrying a Medicfile.net card in front of your drivers license that contains a unique user I.D. number and password, any ems or healthcare provider worldwide will know that you have Medicfile.net and that your emergency medical information is available online.

What information will be in my profile?

Your Medicfile.net profile will contain such information as your allergies, medications, medical history, surgeries, blood type and emergency contact information. You can also upload copies or X-rays, EKG's, living wills and other documents as attachments to your profile. It is up to you to list all or as much information as you would like. Adding a photo is also an available option.

Who can use Medicfile.net?

Yourself, your family, your loved ones even your children can have their medical profiles set up in case of emergencies. Photocopies of childrens cards may also be given to schools and daycares in your absence.

Who can change my information on my medical profile?

You or someone you designate are the only ones that can change the information on your profile, physicians and hospitals can only view your information.

Is Medicfile.net secure and safe from identity theft?

Medicfile.net is very secure and compliant with new laws governing your personal healthcare rights and responsibilities and there is no personal information on the profile such as your date of birth or social security number.

Is Medicfile.net tax deductable?

Medicfile.net is a tax deductable medical expense under the IRS publication 502 tax code for medical information plans.

How much does it cost?

Medicfile.net is very inexpensive and the subscription can be set up for individuals or a household membership that includes up to five people.
