I do not think you can make a money order with a credit card. Cash only, as far as I know.

My friend had told her husband that things were moving - up 10% etc and he suggested getting a few more dinar.

and she replied YES why do you keep asking?

She doesn't realise the significance of this remark as I have been the one that has followed this forum daily since July 05.

i used my credit card to buy my cashiers check. just go to an atm machine or a bank and get a cash advance out of your credit card.

I used my credit card to order half mil from Royal bank of Scotland and this was not linked to that bank, no worries there....

If in the US the Post Office will allow you to purchase a money order with a credit card and proper ID. It is considered a cash advance though and some CC companies hit you hard with a fee that may recur until your balance is zero. Check the fine print.

If you plan on using a credit card, be very aware of the heavy fees associated with most credit card "cash advances". There is usually a transaction fee placed upon you immediately, usually a percentage of the dollar amount you are taking. Then the periodic rate is usually much higher than a standard purchase rate.

Read your Credit Card agreement carefully before committing to this type of purchase. Don't base your decision on the hopes that the Dinar will reval before you get your statement! Because if it doesn't you'll regret it and have some heavy fees to deal with month after month.

A better idea is if you have a home equity line of credit, and CAN AFFORD IT, use one of your credit card checks to purchase a money order. I can only speak for myself, but my M&I HELOC account doesn't discriminate fees and rates between cash advances and regular purchases. The rate is the same across the board.

Bottom line is purchase wisely! Only invest what you can afford to lose. Be aware of fees and be prepared to make new payments if things don't work out the way you expected them to.

For what it is worth, the U.S. Post office money order must be cash, or debit card, but not credit card the last time I asked a couple months ago. But as to bank, I know you can use credit card cash advance for a certified or bank check which is also accepted by SafeDinar, so if all else fails, go to ATM like SGS suggested and get cash and then you can secure either intrument for payment with no problem.

I often have my assitant purchase M.O.'s for certain internet purchases and she uses the company card always without any problem so it may just be where you are located.

You're correct in debit, cash and I just called the local post office and was told if the card is used as debit that is the reason it will go through.

USPS - Domestic Money Orders

Thanks for everyone's help but, I live in the UK and you need tobe living in the US to take adantage of COD order.

I did try portle iraq yesterday and they emailed me today cancealing order, prob no more Diner.

Tried iraqdiner.com and made order but Bruce has emailed me saying does not exsept visa with orders of the amount of 2 million anymore, I have emailed to see if the order can be cut in half, still waiting for answer.

It has been a case of 6 of 0ne and half a dozen of another (sods law).
Now sat late afternoon no bank open near me till the 2nd so can not make any transfer till then.

I might just have tobe happy with the 4 mill that I have but I have to try.

Hope Bruce lets me have some of his!!!
