I think doing that is the stupid way of getting money, cash in advance is for people who don't have cash. You pay a HUGE cost to get the money then the APR goes threw the roof. But you know if it RVS soon, then who gives a ####!
The answer is always NO, unless you ask?

I know here in the USA, you can go to the united states postal service and use your card for money orders. Maybe if you go to your local post office where you are at they may accept them.

In most third world countries, the street price is not as good as what the "official" price is. Even in Mexico, you can often get a better exchange rate downtown on the street. This is significant in the case of Iraq since the CBI will HAVE to continue to raise the value of the dinar to match the street price. In this case, as the CBI tries to play catch up, the street price will continue to rise to the extent that the CBI will never catch up with what the street is willing to buy/sell the dinar. When we take into account the economic fundamenals, debt reduction, GOI in budget, oil income, gold reserves, removal of currency from the economy, passing of oil, FIL, and retirement laws, then this is the best possible situation we could be in. A lot of this will be influenced by the dinar "taking on a life of its own". A "feeding frenzy"! Expect more and better things to come"!
In my past postings I have been arguing others on the need for these valuation numbers from other "other sources" as a guide in the possible direction the CBI could go in their auctions. But my mistake was to call it "market rate vs. official rate", what I should have been saying is the "street rate vs. official rate". As a long time world traveler I am all too aware of exchanging currency at the hotel vs. the bank. My argument has been that the CBI has to be in front of the street and not behind as it is now. I remember my first time in Kuwait and the lady at the hotel gave me 20KD back for the $70 I just gave her. I was very use to getting back more than what I had given over. It seemed as though the banks were either too far away or closed. Thanks Wm..

Check this out. I was just nosing around on Ebay keeping track of what the "street value" is at and you all will appreciate this one. There was a 5,000 dinar note......just one...yes I said just one and it had 16 bidders and went for $16.75 USD. Oh my oh my I think the speculator surge is gearing up fast......!!!
