Thread: All Banks $ Dealers News Here.

Royal Bank of Canada has ties to Iraq and that is where our other banks usually get their foreign currency. One lady at the TD Bank, which does not sell IQD, insisted that that's where the Bank of Nova Scotia would be getting them because that's where they all get their foreign currency. Not so. The Bank of Nova Scotia assures me that they order them directly from Bank of America. There must be some agreement that they'll be the only ones distributing them for now.

Just curious if anybody has ordered any dinar through banks etc. today...wondering if banks drying up yet or what those ordering are being told.

our banks and PO are closed today...'dead presidents day' thingy....

I have just had a call from Royal Bank of Scotland in the UK about an order due for delivery tomorrow for 505,000IQD. They could not fulfill the order and my money is being refunded back on my credit card. They didnt say anything of real interest that I can report to you all, just that I could try again in a few days or a week to see if any more have come in. They did say there was a demand for it. So I suppose it is looking promising that stocks could be drying up.

I was just at my bank and they are open. However, all their computers are down.

Banks are open today but the P.O. and Federal Offices are Closed!

I went by Chase on Friday to pick up the NID and was told by the same teller that helped me on the purchase that the delivery did not come in. She said perhaps the following day. So, I went by yesterday (Saturday) and again the same teller told me the package had not come in. This is the first time I have had a delivery issue when making a NID purchase. I hope this coincides with the availability issues that other members have posted about and turns out to be good news. Although, I WOULD like to get my NID.

I went by Chase today to check again on my last order. It actually came in. But, what I was not expecting was it to be small denoms considering I did not request it. Not only was it small denoms, but it included 1K, 500, and 250. I had never seen the 500 and the 250.

I just got a call from Chase a few minutes ago, that my most recent order had arrived. I won't be able to pick it up until tomorrow (though I may just scoot outta work a bit early and pick it up before they close at 5:00). At any rate, transaction completed (essentially), and will update as to what denominations I get. I asked for Small Denoms, so we'll see...

Anyone hear what the latest "Street Rate" is in Kuwait or Iraq?
