    BOB
It has been stated before by others who have checked into the situation that Bank of America sells dinars on a bank to bank level but will not sell them over the counter to their regular customers. I'm not sure why that is, but that is an internal decision made by B of A. I do know that the teller I dealt with at Scotiabank called B of A because I was standing there while she had the conversation. The tellers I dealt with in the other transactions also told me it was B of A they were calling and that was where the dinars came from. That is why it takes a couple of days for them to arrive at the branch and the $8.00 delivery charge. By the way, there are no branches of B of A here in Canada. My understanding is that the source of the dinars (as far as the Scotiabank is concerned) is the main foreign currency department of B of A in New York City. My guess is that the bank to bank part of the foreign currency department has no connection with the B of A regular branches' day to day business.

Good to get back in the saddle again. Been workin' hard in my day job, but had to post this news. My brother called me from Phoenix and said that people on the forum were reporting that Chase was selling dinars for $886 per million. I questioned him about that because on Wednesday I picked up an order and the rate was $796.40 per million. So early this afternoon I went to my Chase branch and requested a rate quote on the dinar. Sure enough the teller quoted me $886.50 per million. Now that is a $90 per million jump just since last Tuesday. If you convert that out, that is 1128 dinars per dollar. It seems funny to me that the rate would change that much and not have any info coming from the CBI. Tells me things are happening in Iraq and the banks are communicating with each other, but not overtly as before with the CBI posting the rate every day. Now Chase has always followed the posted rate fairly closely, to the point that you could buy dinars from them cheaper than you could get it from the dealers. Soooooooo, if the rate is truly 1128 dinars per dollar, that would mean that the dinar has increased in value 23.62% since November 1st. It would also mean that the dinar has increased in value approximately 12% since the auctions stopped a week ago today. Wm. Knowles stated that a 10% increase would "lift the eyebrows" of the world's money traders. If 10% will do it what will 23% do? I'll tell you what, this has been a long week and the next three of four days are going to seem like a month. I hope it doesn't stop at 1000 to the dollar, but that is just blasts right through that level and keeps on going. Blessings to all RolClubers, "Long Live the Queen". (That was for you Adster) !!
    Hey Socata,

When I purchased from Chase, they were adding a charge of around $80 for their transaction fee above the current CBI rate. When I bought the CBI rate was around $670 per million dinar, and I paid Chase around $750 per million dinar. So, with your info I would assume that Chase is keeping a similar margin between their sell price and the CBI rate. Thus, if Chase is selling around $886, the CBI rate is around $806 per million. Thus, 1,000,000 Dinar/$806 = 1240.69:1. Keep in mind Chase seems to be a little behind in updating their rates, so the CBI may even be further along than this.

    WOOT, WOOT, WOOT, WOOT.

    Keep on working CBI.

Looking good folks. Even if it isn't our beloved overnight reval, I expect that things are about to get very very bright over there. Very good info, very encouraging.

Hey Socata, I live in Phoenix also. Could you PM the location of the Chase that is selling you dinar. I am on the east side. Any bank closer to me would be appreciated.

I was down at the bank yesterday and I asked them if they were charging me a fee. The teller said there is no fee if I am an account holder. Our branch has been very progressive in the dinar arena. I've been keeping track, they have been right on the CBI rate since I started buying there. Thanks

Talking Me and Chase - Finally!

I am so excited. Living in California, I do not have access to any Chase banks I have watched others pop into their Chase banks and pick up dinars for a great price. Last night I got a brain storm! I put in my Father's zip code and guess what??!! They have about 4 Chase banks in my home town in Wisconsin!

I immediately called the Chase bank there and talked to one of the tellers who said "yes, we can order IQD @ .00088.65 + $5.00 if you don't have an account.

    WWWHHHEEEEE!!!

I called my Father and he is going over there to order some more for me and himself! I am so happy since this will be my last order until this hits. I am glad my father was able to get some more for himself too. I gave him some for his birthday but now he has more!!! Or will have on Tuesday. I did ask the teller, "what if the rate goes up on Sunday...Will I still get my order?" She said once you order, it is locked in at that price! So there you have my latest Chase up date. I will let you know what happens once my dad gets back from the bank and then again on Tuesday when I get them. I told him to ask for small denominations if possible. We will see!

I had heard from a user on another forum that KeyBank is now dealing in Dinar. Is anyone able to verify? I have no reason to distrust this individual... I posted mainly because I don't recall anyone ever talking about KeyBank as being a Dinar option... Until today!

So if anyone is able to validate this, that'd be great. It'd be nice to add another bank to the list of Dinar purchase avenues. Thanks...

FYI... I stopped by my local Chase bank here in Houston (290/FM1960) on my way back from lunch to inquire about the rates and today it is $00.00088648.

It just keeps on creeping up.

So, if I did my math correctly, I purchased 100K about a week or so ago, and paid $79 and change for it. By your new buy rate that you found, today, the same 100K dinar would cost about $88.65. That's a heck of a jump in a week, I'd say. Thanks for the info, Vipor.

    Default Chase bank updates

I called two locations this morning; Kingman, Az. and Bullhead, Az. Kingman said they do not sell IQD. She even check with her asst mgr and came back with a negative. I then contacted Bullhead who responded yes they do sell but would have to order. When I called back to inquire about the rate, she couldn't find the currecny designation on her list. I left my number with her and she did return my call. She updated her position that they do not sell IQD to non-customers.

Now taking into account that both of these locations are in small outlaying rural areas they may not be aware of this situation. I quized the rep about her knowledge of IQD and she had not even heard about it at all.

I called these two locations as I am in LV and they are the closest to me. It appears I will have to make a trip to Phoenix.

Yep, I wish I had checked out my brainstorm months ago when Chase started selling Dinar. I would have saved a lot of money and gotten more for my money. Oh, well. Almost a $10.00 increase in a week! Wait until that 100,000 is $100,000.00!!! WOOT!

I just made my 3rd order at the Bank of Nova Scotia today. I paid $324.20 for 300,000! Previous order on 7 Dec was only $280.64 for 300,000! Both figures include the $8.00 fee for non account holders. My first order late in the summer was 225,000 for $200.

They had no trouble ordering - just made a phone call.
