Ordered some dinar here down in south fl at the boca branch on the 8th nothing as of yet hopefully i will here from them tommorw when the banks reopen. They said there supply was running low or out and that they were waiting on a shipment from BOA as they are the supplier of dinar at this branch.... they told me this friday the 12th ......also i wonder why BOA denies not dealing with dinar and that they dont sell it....not even to customers with an account.......maybe it would be unpatroitic to sell dinars with a name like bank of AMERICA...strange huh.......tank

Ok folks just to give an update just recieved my dinars today this afternoon will pick them up tommorow....I ordered them on Jan 8th and they came in today the 16th so i t took 8 days. I then asked if i were to place another order will it be faster because i heard that it took so long because you were waiting on shipment from bank of america cause supply was low..(this was from another associate at that branch that said this not the one i normally deal with) She said if you were to place an order expect the same tun around or time to recieve them. I also asked what the buy rate was for today for a million and she said it is $863....SO MY QUESTION TO YOU GUYS IS THIS....Is this the rate chase will buy the dinar from you? if it is then this is huge cause when i purchased mine the rate they would buy it back was something like $784 Cause on my reciept it says sell 00088650....something like that i dont have it infront of me this is when i purchased on the 8th.I forgot to ask what the sell rate is. Obviously if i was given 2 rates the high one is the rate i can buy it from them and the lower rate is the rate they will buy it back from you....cause i payed 886 per mill....so has the rate that i can purchase from them is now cheaper despite the lowering the rate at the cbi????...or is chase so short on dinar that they are basicly buying back some close to what i paid...remember if you bought before sadam got hung it was around $780 so they can make a quick buck if they choose to?? hmmm can ome one set me staight on this??? Ok, Chase's buy back rate is about $696 per million. I ordered from them on Jan. 9, at a rate of $886.50 per million. Went back to order another million Jan 12. and the rate was $863.80. So, for some reason Chase lowered the rates. Even still the buy back rate was around $696.

Jimmy

A few weeks back I had posted that I went to UMB (United Bank of Missouri)
and made a purchase at the rate of .0009517 the lady I deal with was surprised that the rate had gone up so much.

well got my shipment lot of dinars yesterday from chase for the price i guess you can't complain of the quality. I had a million 40 25k notes with pen marks on them... found 3 with stamp marks on then 2 had a sea shell one had a snowflake. about half of them were worn and about 1/3rd of them were in great shape hardly circulated they looked new and the other 2/3rd were in decent shape. I am a little concerened about the ones with writting on them as the cbi states
The CBI shall not be required to provide any compensation for banknotes or coins that were lost, stolen or destroyed; it may confiscate without compensation any banknotes that have been altered in their external appearance, including in particular banknotes that have been written on, painted on, overprinted, stamped or perforated, or to which adhesive matter has been applied
SO what do you guys think...have any of you guys had the same experience??? Should I be worried???Last edited by dinartank; 18-01-2007 at 09:29 PM.

Interesting,
I wouldn't worry about it as Chase accepted them in this condition, and this is who you will be exchanging them with, so unless you are going to Iraq to exchange, I would not think there would be a problem. Most currency is marked up at some point, yet I have never had a problem with it.
Good luck to all, Mike

My friend went to Bank of Nova Scotia again today and ordered dinar - only 24 hours for delivery, they say. Last 2 times were 2 weeks and 3 weeks respectively but they seem to have more in stock now (wherever they originate).
