If it is indeed critical to do business with that Chase bank, perhaps going up the chain of command.. branch manager, district manager.. on up, may get you the correct answer.

Again, NO problem here in ordering more dinar.

Just an update from my Chase post yesterday. I placed my order at 2:00PM om Tuesday-my order did not come in until 3:00PM today. Has always been within 24 hrs. Order was entirely 10K notes. First that I have seen them. Not uncirculated but close.
I took the assistant manager aside and asked her what was up with ordering dinar as far as who can, etc. She said she wasn't privvy to all of the memos-the main manager was on vacation. She did tell me that Chase has let all branches know to be very selective about who they sell to if they choose to at all. According to her, there has been some fraud issues and Chase is a little leary about selling Dinar. I brought up the fact about the security built into these bills-she stated she was well aware of the safeguards and also knew that the US had a hand in designing them. She informed me that at their location they will ONLY sell to established account holders. She also stated that there are established account holders that they will not sell to. I found that comment intersting. I'm not well versed in the banking industry, but I suspect some account holders may be "flagged". Could be questionable background, previous felonies, etc.
Thought I would pass this along to the group. If I get a chance, I will pin down the manager when she is back from holiday.

**this may not be all that interesting, but it's a hell of a lot better than all the eye gouging that's been going on here today.

Well the Dinar was designed for the Iraqi's BY the Iraqi's. The US did not design, nor contribute to the design of the notes. Also Chase is a bank not a independently owned pizza shop. ALL CHASE BANKS BUY AND SELL DINAR. If you don't have an account, they charge you $5.00

i believe the $5.00 charge is an " currency exchange " fee, and does not matter if you have an account or not, not that it really matters.

The Currency Exchange fee is the Price you are paying for it, about 1% over, or Under on selling. If you see, it is Higher than if you were in Iraq. But the $5, is the Non-Chase Account Holder fee.

Neno, Would it be possible to have a "Chase is or isn't selling" thread. You and I know that they are, and I don't mind seeing an update from someone on what denom's they got or that the buy/sell rate has changed, as that is is solid info. However, everyday we see posts about a bank manager saying "we were told" this or that. Let me first say, I trust our rolclub brothers and sisters, and if they say they had that experience then I believe them. Fact is, Chase buys/sells, it's not branch to branch, it's not account or not it's not whether or not you look shady. So maybe if we had a thread for it then one post would not turn into 50+ on wether or not they sell.

    Sorry buddy

    " currency exchange fee $5.00 "

doesn't say anything about not having an account

If you have an account, or a chase credit card the $5.00 is waived

Well, apparently they don't which was the point of the post, starting with this one.

I was just sharing an experience, but as of late on this forum any non-news related posts appear to irritate at least one or more of the members who are quick to point out that your information is wrong and they are right. Hey, I'm good with that. I have no problem hanging out on the sidelines and letting the experts manage what information is and is not relevent or true.
