After five years of satisfactory service from H20, several weeks ago, I suddenly lost ability to send/receive calls and texts on my Redmi phone when 5G replaced 3G. Kept getting error messages indicating my phone wasn't connected to H2O's network when I tried to send calls and texts...even though I had verified weeks before with H2O that my Redmi phone would still be compatible after 5G replaced 3G. I called H2O Customer Service and was told I needed to purchase and insert a new 4G SIM card. Did that and no help. Called Customer Service again and the representative had me change numerous settings on my phone. No help. Then, I was told I needed a new 5G phone. So, I purchased a new, $960 Samsung 5G S21 phone from H2O. It arrived, I inserted the new SIM card provided, and performed all steps to migrate my apps and data correctly. But, still no ability to send/receive calls and texts. So, called Customer Service AGAIN. This time, I was promised a call from Tech Support within 24 business hours. Didn't happen. Called back and was again promised a call within 24 additional BUSINESS hours. Didn't happen. So, sent the Samsung S21 back to H2O, purchased a Samsung S22+ from Walmart for $200 less than for the S21 I'd purchased from H2O, and signed up for AT&T Wireless service for $50 per month for unlimited calls and data. My new S22 phone and AT&T service FINALLY allow me to send/receive calls and texts! May eventually switch to Consumer Cellular service for $35 per month for calls and data. But, I will never go back to H2O and I am now worried I won't be reimbursed for the $960 phone I returned to H2O after reading all the complaints about their scam business practices. WARNING: Do not be fooled into signing up for H2O's low-cost services or purchasing their phones. One H2O Customer Service agent admitted to me that even some customers with expensive new iPhones cannot send/receive calls and texts. You get what you pay for and this once-reliable company is now having network issues that are leaving many customers without ability to send/receive calls or texts, with no solutions in sight, and with extremely poor customer service and tech support.
