How much to withdraw at ATM at one time depends on the rules of the ATM you use. I have read where some people have jumped from ATM to ATM to get out the sums they want.

Per Picpay, you can withdraw $2,500 at a time, up to $9999 per day.

As far as limits on overall balance allowed in Speedy Wallet, that one I do not know the answer, if there is a limit. In re-reading the disclosures that come with the card, I do not see a limit on account SIZE.

However, funds in your account are NOT FDIC insured, as they are in a traditional bank account here in the U.S. which means were the holding bank (Monterey Bank) to go under we have no recourse to recover those funds, at least through the FDIC. Still this is not a big worry, but something to bear in mind when deciding how much to leave in the Speedy Wallet. Bear in mind that Monterey Bank IS FDIC insured, it's just with these funds they are not in that bank as a bank account deposit per se', they are simply being "held" by that bank for us as a transferring agent for Speedy Wallet.

FDIC is an insurance entity that guarantees funds in EVERY bank account held by a given bank, up to a certain limit.

None of this is alarming to me, just information to be taken into consideration as I said, in deciding how much to leave in a Speedy account. Odds are it is solid as stone, and everyone needs to manage their own risk based on their beliefs and comfort level. I don't consider Speedy Wallet to be risky whatsoever, and the above disclosures are not meant to cause worry, they are simply the legal stuff that the customer needs to be informed of.

Hello There Pipsters.

I know that a lot of people are using SpeedyWallet via their Debit Card.

I have not used my Debit Card yet, however I just transfered a small "test" amount from my SpeedyWallet account straight into my Bank account.

The transfer took less then 48 hours. I'm happy with that.

See you all in Hawaii!!

My Card worked like a dream when I first used it today.

I sat down and did a traing use document for my team and sent it to my mentor

In doing this I worked out all the fees that it cost me. This has made me very glad that Bryan has developed a new card system with less fees, as per his post yesterday.

I am mostly concerned with the Declined ATM fees, which I was unaware of and was not informed at the ATM

Here goes for what it is worth. Those that have used the System should work out their fees

This is the sequence of Events and Transaction I went through in order to transfer $1000 from PIPS to PicPay and then loaf my Card with $900,

1 Go into your PIPS Account
2 Go to Account Manager / Withdrawals
3. Enter Amount that you wish to Withdraw and tick the Withdrawal Method PicPay.
4. Enter your PicPay Account and Password and press Submit
5. The monies are then Transferred to PicPay
6. Go into your PicPay Account and choose Statement. This will show you the monies that have been transferred
7. You are also sent an email from PIPS informing you that you have withdrawn the monies successfully
8. Log in to your PicPay account and go to Transaction / Withdraw funds.
9. Select Debit Card
10. Select your debit card number, the Amount you want to load it with and Submit
11. You get an Email from PicPay that the Withdrawal to the Debit Card has been done, but is ?Pending?.
12. I did it on Saturday and it changed to ?Complete? on Wednesday night
13, I Withdrew on Thursday morning three times Total ?420 sterling ? A result!
14. Now the fees. PIPS to PicPay $20. PicPay to Card $6. Declined ATM Withdrawals, of which I was not informed as this must have happened when connecting in the background $3.50 a time = $3.50 * 8 = $28, plus Transaction fees of 3 * $5.50 = $16.50.
15. A grand total of $70.50 in a transfer of $900 to my card account. So I only got $829.50 equal to ?420 UK pounds

That?s what I call a lot of fees

PIPS is still the Greatest by Far

Good Luck to you all

Ok -thanks a lot -I got the message from a kind helpfull pipster -here is it so that others may know it ...

Here you are:

TO ACTIVE YOUR PICPAY CARD, YOU MUST HAVE YOUR CARD NUMBER AND YOUR ACCOUNT ACCESS CODE. THE ACCESS CODE IS THE LAST FOUR DIGITS OF YOUR CARD NUMBER. THE ACCESS CODE IS NOT YOUR PIN NUMBER. YOUR PIN NUMBER IS ALSO INITIALLY SET TO THE LAST FOUR DIGITS OF THE CARD NUMBER AND SHOULD BE CHANGED AS SOON AS YOU ACTIVATE YOUR CARD FOR SECURITY REASONS.

To Activate your PICPAY Card, please call 800-770-3168 if in the USA. If outside the USA Dial: Your Country Code + 503-496-0752 (this number is in the United States).
o Press 1 for English ? Press 2 for Spanish
o To Login for Card Activation ? Press 1
o Enter your PICPAY card number. Press the (#) key after entering the entire card number.
 When instructed - enter the Account Access Code (last four digits of card number). Press the pound (#) key after you have entered the four digit Access Code Number.
 The System will now ask you to activate your card. Press 2 for Card Activation. You will need the expiration date on your card for this process (example 02/09). Press 1 to enter your expiration date as one four-digit number followed by the pound (#) key (ex. 0209#).
o Press 7 to obtain you PIN number. Your PIN number is initially set to the last four digits of your card number. CHANGE YOUR PIN NUMBER NOW AND WRITE IT DOWN! Your PIN number is the number that you use to access your funds at the ATM. If you change your PIN, it does NOT change your Access Code. If you change your access code, it does NOT change your PIN. The Access Code is only required to access your account information on this customer service number.
o Your Card is activated and can be used at any ATM bearing the Star or Plus
Logo or any PIN-Based POS (Point of Sale or store) when you use your PIN NUMBER to make a purchase.

YOU MUST CREATE A SpeedyWallet ACCOUNT IN ORDER TO FUND & ACCESS YOUR CARD PROPERLY! If you already have a previous card from PicPay with a card number starting with 5045, read the ?Create A SpeedyWallet for Previous Cardholders?.

? Go to www.speedywallet.com
? Click on NEW USERS START HERE
? In the field that say Card Number, enter your 16-digit card number and click the Continue button.
? When you are asked for your Access Code, enter the last four (4) digits of your card number. (If you changed your Access Code on the automated phone system, then enter the 4-digit number you changed it to).
? On the next screen, answer one of the validation questions supplied by the pull down menu. Answers are case sensitive. If your answer is a number, DO NOT include any hyphens, dashes or spaces.
? Now you are ready to create your Login. Enter your email address. Enter a password (must be at least 6 characters long and include at least one symbol. For example, loneranger$ or super*star)
? Create and enter two Security Questions and include your answers for them. Answers are Case Sensitive.
? The system will then take you back to the Login page. Enter your email address for the Login ID and then the password that you created. You should now be logged in to your account. NOW, your PicPay card is capable of having funds loaded on it by using one of the methods included in the Loading Instructions document that came with the card or is posted on the Cardholder Services Site, www.epaycardservices.com.

CREATE A SPEEDYWALLET ACCOUNT INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREVIOUS PICPAY CARDHOLDERS

(Instructions ONLY for those cardholders who were previously issued a PicPay card with the card number starting with 5045)

? You will need to create a new SpeedyWallet account for your new PicPay card.
? Your new account will need to have a different email address than your old account.
? Before you create your new account, you will need to change the email address in your old account. Log in to the account in www.speedywallet.com and then click on Profile at the left side of the screen. Then click on Update Profile near the top of the page. Change the Email Address field to have a different email address than what is in there now. Make sure that you change the account to an email address you have full access to.
? Minimize the window and open up the email account for this email address. Look for an email from SpeedyWallet and open it. Click on the link in this email to confirm the change to your old account.
? Now you should close the window that had your old SpeedyWallet account.

Now, go to the Create a SpeedyWallet Account Section of the PicPay Card Activation Instructions. Follow the instructions in that section all of the way through. When you are finished creating your NEW SpeedyWallet Account, please review below the options you have available to obtain the funds from your OLD card.

Obtaining the Funds from your Old Card

There are 3 ways you can obtain funds from your old PicPay card:

1. Draw it off at an ATM machine using your PIN number.

2. Transfer it to a US or Canadian bank account that you have.
1. Log in to the SpeedyWallet account of your old card.
2. On the left hand side, under Account Tools, click Remove Funds.
3. Under "NEW Financial Institution Account", select one of the options depending on what kind of bank account you have.
The options are
? US Dollar Bank Account in the USA *
? US Dollar Bank Account in Canada *
? Canadian Dollar Bank Account in Canada **
Click Continue.
4. Enter the Bank Account Type (savings or checking), the ABA Routing Number, and the Account Number. Click Continue.
5. Enter the amount you want to transfer. Click Continue. Confirm the details and click Confirm.

3. Transfer it to your New PicPay Card (the new card with the card number beginning with 5870?).
This is the exact same process as Option 2 above but you must put in certain information for the account:
Account-type: CHECKING
Routing #: 121143655
Account #: The full 16-digit card number for your NEW CARD (beginning with 5870?).

* This option takes 3-5 business days for the money to arrive at its destination.
** This option takes 2-3 business days for the money to arrive at its destination.

A couple of things RRisen when you open your new speedy wallet account there is 5.00 bucks in your account to pay for the first month as well as the fact that you have at least a three month grace period before they would even think about clossing your account
So in short you have four months to pay.
I know payments are slow these days but I think four months you should be fine Cool

I saw the post about the fees. and would like to add my 2 cents....

Got my card - great job support!!! - and called on the 1st of March to activate (didn't want to get into Feb fees since I wasn't using it.)
Called to activate and found out that it was already active... when I pressed to get to customer service, I was informed that Picpay activated it the day they sent it ($1.25 fee for just calling the 800 number)....
When I went to check my Picpay account, I found a charge of $4.00 for my customer service call, and the $4.95 monthly fee already pending on my account....
Not a problem, since PIPS is SOOOOOOOO good to us, but it was a bit of a suprise (nickel and dimed to death!!)
Just a FYI

Hi, guest,

You have to do the following before you can set up an account with speedywallet.

1 Goto your picpay account. Apply for a Debit Card. Make sure you have $30.00 in your account and the system would deduct the amount automatically

2 You then need to fax in two documents to picpay for verification. Your utility bill which shows your name and address that match up with your registered details at picpay. The second document can be your passport, security ID and it should also match up with the ID you used to registered at picpay.

3 Picpay would send you an email when your documents are verified and acceptable.

4 2-3 days later, you will receive another email notifying you of the fedex tracking number. Within a week you should get your DC delivered to your door step.

5 Folllow the instruction accompanying the DC. You are asked to activate your card and change your PIN. A word of warning. The card is activated. It is a good idea that you change your PIN. (The default PIN is not the last 4 digits of your card, contrary to what it is stated in the instruction)

6 After you have change your PIN and go through the step as per instruction, you need to goto speedywallet. https://www.speedywallet.com

7 Use your card number to register an account. After you have done that. Log out and log back in again to make sure that the card is now ENABLED.

8 You are in business and start spending.

Good luck.

I am soo confused ... if the default is not the last 4 digits then what is the default ... don't we need a 'pin'(like a default pin)in order to change the pin?

Once you've gone through the motions of activating your card over the phone, you then have to press 7 on your phone's keypad (WAIT FOR THE PROMPTS) to access your default PIN,you can then change your PIN.

Hope this helps,

on the speedywallet homepage, under
Who can use SpeedyWallet?
it says "However, since funds may only be added from a financial institution in the United States, SpeedyWallet is best-suited to American users. "

so, how then do I deposit into speedy wallet from picpay?
I'm confused, thanks.
