One issue that I have had is placing my stop loss. When I started just like everybody else in a demo account I was not scared to put my stop loss a 100 pips away. When trading the Demo account very rarely would I get stopped out and usually would turn a profit based on my strategies.
Once I switched to real money account I started to place my stop loss a lot closer to avoid the big loss. This proved to be ineffective as most of the trades I was making were great but I was just not giving it enough room.
As anyone else experienced this problem and how did you figure out where to put your stop loss so you don't screw yourself over ?

Personally, I only place stops FAR away from my trades and have an EA using hidden stop points (prices to close out of the trade at) depending on the particular strategy I am using. The reason for not placing stops is that I don't trust brokers :) I just want to make extra sure that they don't go hunting my stops. As mentioned, I do place a stop very very far off my position just in case my EA gets disconnected and there is some catastrophe on the markets it offers some safety but is way to far away for the broker to chase it.

Demo accounts are very useful to train our trading skills, both good strategy and good money management without risking our money, while the real account in addition to train our trading skills both good strategy and good money management are also trained in psychology or emotions when trading, even if it means risking our own money but we get a psychological training that we need to be successful in trading.
So I think stop loss in demo account or in real have to be the same. If we start to move the stop loss, I'm afraid we not get the same result as in demo. so try to be discipline, just execute the trading in real like in demo. I know its hard. but we are trying. I have information for no deposit forex bonus. Check armada markets, this broker offering welcome account 15EUR. Besides that , this broker have a refer friends offer. You will get 15 USD and your friends too for each offering friend to join with this broker.

Well, stop loss is great approach, it definitely could reduce risk and increase your profit, however, in the real practice, there are still much other factors which could influences your bonus.

Start using stop loss when trading with demo account is good. It will make us be more know how to set stop loss. If we do not use SL when trading, we must be able to do "cut loss" so we will not get more risk.

My opinion is every trader should put SL in their position to control your risk and reward,no matter if you trading real account or demo account and you need to use it depends on how much you afford to loss.

We must know where we should put SL when trading. We can use demo account to know how to put SL. So, we must use demo account as well as possible, we must understand about to know where we should put SL. We can try use market news to help us making analysis.

I think demo account been use for several reason :
1. test out the trading system
2. learning about the platform tool
3. try money management as per plan
4. put TP and SL as per trading system
so I think stop loss in demo account or in real have to be the same. If we start to move the stop loss, I'm afraid we not get the same result as in demo.
so try to be discipline, just execute the trading in real like in demo. I know its hard. but we are trying, maybe can start from a free welcome bonus like welcome bonus 15 Euro from Armada Markets

Yes, we can use demo account to test our skills including set SL when trading. We must know where we should put SL, because if we are wrong, SL will make us get loss in vain.
Open a PAMM account with TenkoFX for the chance to manage up to $100,000
