Ebay forecast 2010 results above expectations with revenue rising 15% on main marketplaces division. Shares were up over 8% during after market trading.

Total Systems Services reported Q4 earnings fell 9% as they collected less revenue from electronic payment processing services, a struggling sector right now.

(WGOV) - short
Woodward Governor Q1 profit declined as revenue fell, sales at Turbine Systems unit fell 9% due mainly to declines in industrial turbine and business jet markets.

Goldman Sachs reported fourth quarter earnings that shot past analyst’s expectations; Goldman reported a net income of $4.95 billion, or $8.20 per share, topping expectations of $5.20 a share. Today's news is a definite improvement from the $2.12 billion, or $4.97 per share the company lost in the same quarter last year. President Obama announced his plan to regulate big banks; the proposal will limit commercial banks from making trades for their own accounts. They also said there will be new limits set to control banks ability to make high risk trades, the government will also try to have some type of control over the size of large banks so they won't pose a risk to the economic system. Stocks fell today as investors showed concern over the President's new proposal. Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 219 points, the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 26 points and the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index fell 22 points. Bond prices rose, the yield on the benchmark 10-year note fell to 3.59 from 3.65 Wednesday. Commodities fell as the dollar rose; gold fell $9.60 to $1,103.00, crude oil prices fell $1.66 to $76.08.
