Default Alexa: Plex content never plays from Alexa to TV

    The Server Version#: Version 1.19.1.2630
Player version#: Plex for LG 4.29.2

I'm going around in circles with the same Plex app on a brand new LG TV, the new Echo Dot, the included skin Plus.

I ask Echo to play the episode or resume the episode on TV…

Alexa says, " Okay, now I'm playing."..nothing happens, the stream never starts.

I've tried re-linking the skill, but Alexa thinks she's playing with no errors, no crash reports, no problems...Alexa just never really manages to control Plex on an LG TV.

If I have Plex open and manually start an episode, Alexa com pauses and resumes. But with Plex open and the message to Alexa ‘ask plex to play episode XYZ', nothing happens.

Looking at the activity log in Alexa, there are no errors, and Alexa totally thinks it's playing an ep on my TV...but nothing?

Alexa is a very helpful and interesting device. I think the creators spend a lot of time to create it. If you want Alexa to work with your TV you need to have a SmartTV and Fire TV of 2nd generation from amazon remote control. You can find some information about it on pickmyreader.com. You just connect to connect Alexa to Fire TV remote control and that is all. Now you can control your Tv with Alexa and this is very useful. Sometimes I lose my remote control and I use Alexa to watch what I want. Also, kids like this a lot because they feel like in a movie about the future when they use Alexa. pickmyreader.com
