I`ve moved from Nevada
Hi,
I am from the Northern Nevada Paiute Tribe. One of the poorest tribes of all. I used to work for them delivering Govt Commodities to 16 different reservations in Nevada and California.
The Govt feeds these poor people white flour, white sugar and canned food. All of those foods are poison to these natives.
Here is a link if you would like to read more:

THanks for taking an interest.
Finest regards,
VJ

VJ,
I understand how you feel. Although I am Cherokee (small part) I have a natural love and concern for what is happening with all Native American Tribes.
Several years ago I taught the Navajo and Apache Indian kids in Northern Arizona where I developed a deep love for them and a genuine concern for the way were being treated. They are a special people and are still treated badly by whites.
Since then I have moved back to Kansas but will return someday to work with them again.
Take Care,
Jan

I think my cousins already tried that, my great grandfather was born in 1855 I think & he changed his last name when he moved off the res. I don't know of anyone living who knows what his former name was . my sister tried to find out what happened to the family bible (it had all of that information in it) but still no luck on that either , it "disappeared" after my grandfather died in 1975. I honestly don't know if they were still on the res. or not when the final roles were taken , well take care

I Think all of us Indian Folk ban together...
....that`s what is wrong now. In order to be heard we need first to become a strong voice.

Well,I have it on pretty good authority that all lands once belonging to the natives of North America will be returned fully to the natives;and without force from anyone.
What belongs to you will be returned.

So you are saying that most of the land in the US will be returned to the Indians? How will that be done and in what time frame?
