    Default Bnm

Just supposing. If there is money in our PICPAY accounts after all this time and is released, would BNM owe us interest on all the money they held for so long? Just a thought. I wouldn't care, just want to see some sort of release.

    Interesting,

As there was no interest involved with Picpay, any virtual money in Picpay if frozen would not generate anything, and certainly BN would not pay interest, so your answer it no, sorry, but like you, I would be happy with just pending at this point in time. (g)

    Good luck to all, Mike

Yeah, I think that have divided it up between them selfs. Hey keep and eye on bnm. If they have a major re-structure after the investigation is over,
Well then there you go. Of course you can open an account with there
bank and i am sure that they will oblige with 2.35% interest pa. Oh well.
Spose when they have made enough them selves they may let us go.

This is now on the BNM site
International Reserves of Bank Negara Malaysia as at 13 January 2006
The international reserves of Bank Negara Malaysia amounted to RM267.5 billion or equivalent to USD70.8 billion as at 13 January 2006. The reserves position is sufficient to finance 7.9 months of retained imports and is 6 times the short-term external debt.

Actually i just checked. In July they where some where around US$77 Billion.
On the 15th of Aug they climbed to around US$80 Billion. Could be clutching
at straws, but isn't that roughly the amount that we are looking for ? The
report was dated the 15th of Aug. Not sure of the time differance, and could
they process it that fast ? Interesting but non-conclusive. Still when i try
to calculate 1.9% on 2 or 3 billion dollars. My calculator just laughs at me.
Who stated that the first thing you need to ask in any investigation, is
who stands to gain the most. (ie interest on 2 billion for 12 months). Forget the
dinar. I am going to buy malaysian currency.

It's poor logic if BNM would include the frozen funds of PIPS. Those funds don't belong to BNM.

Loans from the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the ASEAN Bank are more likely to be included than PIPS' funds.

Please be more careful with our speculations.

Your right philrater. I did make the consideration to delete before posting.
If i follow the logic through to conclusion, it takes me/them to lawyer land.
I dont think anyone would risk that.
