The more I see and read about Firefox the more I am convinced it is the
way to go over IE. I am using The Avant Browser over IE and it works
looks and functions similat to IE except that it is slow at times. I
don't seem to have issues with lockups using the Avant Browser over IE.
I also use Opera and that is the Browser I use for PIPS. I never had a problem loging in unless the server was down for maitenance or updates ect. Sometimes I would have to just keep trying untill I was able to get
loged in. Everything was great untill I accidentally messed it up by closing the window before copying down the 4 digit Security Pin - I just
wanted to minimize the screen for a moment and accidentaaly closed the window so now I'm trying to get my account reset and reactivated. Using the two browsers that I do I also do not have issues with spyware, adaware and other crap. Also I Use Zone Alarm Pro along with AVG Pro
along with a couple of spyware, adaware programs and my machine has been relativly clean, and stable. I use Windows 98-2nd addition and my question is how well does Firefox function with this operating system and
are there any limitations?

Hi there,
I changed from IE to Firefox a couple of weeks ago after my little one crashed the pc due to all the c rap from IE and a huge Trojan on it. After rebuilding it I looked into Firefox and asked opinions on here which were all positive towards it. It's the best thing you can do, more secure, less viruses. I run it with Panda anti virus, adaware and spybot and there's next to no rubbish on it now.

Same here like you have on yours Adster and to add more guard to the garrison, I have *HitmanPro* to do a further cleanSweep to root out thoroughly.... but the latter is run in Dutch and incorporates a host of back-2-back service features...all in tune to rid out undesirables!! :D

I use Firefox with AVGFree,Zone Alarm Basic,SpySweeper,Ad-Aware,SpywareBlaster and Spybot Search&Destroy as well as Microsoft Anti-Spyware and I NEVER get any kind of infections.
My computer has been totally trouble-free since I started using this combo. The only time anything is found is after I've used IE for whatever reason.

Hi All,
Do any of you guys use HiJack this? I run it in conjunction with Microsoft antispyware, spybot, C.C. and AVG pro. I used to run Norton, but found I was constantly having conflict problems with Limewire, anti my anti spyware programs.
My system stays clean. I use both I.E and Firefox, my router firewall seems to give me very good protection.
I have not used Windows 98 for many years, and I must admit I found it very "glitchy" when I did, my operating system is X.P. SP2.
HiJack this is very good but you must take care to not delete the wrong thing, use your log diligently.

If you have problems with Limewire, you should download"Deepnet Explorer" and give it a try.I doubt you'd regret it.
Web-browser+P2P+Newsfeed all in one.
Although I use FF for surfing.
