Diversifying is the key and this is one I am adding to my portfolio for sure.

Also the other key is not to spread yourself to thin and not depend on one program. Spread your money over atleast 3 or more that way if one dissapears you have not lost everything.

This one is different has a forum, been around since July 2005 and looks like a solid program.

Your funds are safe
Funds obtained from participants in exchange for Units are transferred to the appropriate Contract operator/club, and are not used by PrivateOpps in any way whatsoever. Each Contract operator maintains a reserve account with us, which is used to fulfill Unit redemption orders. In addition, operators are required to increase the reserves as soon as PrivateOpps detects a potential increase in redemption activity.

Due Diligence
All private clubs accepting participants through our system undergo a thorough due diligence process and are verified and audited regularly to ensure that your funds are used as per our terms and agreements with the club operators.

Compounded DAILY Interest
Once purchased, your Contract Units accrue Daily Compounded Interest - 5 days a week (Mon-Fri at 8pm EST). Unlike most banks and investment opportunities, we credit interest, not based upon the initial value of the Units, but based on their accumulated value. This approach is called compound interest (see example). With it, interest is earned on both the initial deposit and on any interest that has already been earned! Redeeming Contract Units
After the Holding Period for your Units expires, you have the option to continue to hold them and accrue additional interest, or Redeem all or a portion of them at their value at the time. Proceeds from redemption of Units will be deposited to your PrivateOpps account within 12 hours or less.

Availability of Units
Each private club has designated a specific quantity of Units to be offered to PrivateOpps participants. When all Units for a Contract are sold, the Contract is no longer available to new participants (however, existing participants in closed Contracts will be able to increase their Unit ownership from time to time as per the private club's discretion)

Interview with Robert Vaughn, Admin of Privateopps.

1. Hello dear Robert! First of all please, introduce yourself, where are you from?

Hello! I would like to first thank you for the opportunity to provide your site visitors with this personal interview and introduction of our program.

My name is Robert Vaughn, currently residing in Costa Rica, and I am the operations manager here at PrivateOpps. I have been personally involved in offshore investment clubs in the past 10 years, and had led the private group that purchased PrivateOpps from its previous owners only 12 days after their launch. We saw an incredible opportunity and are glad we had taken this move. Thanks to our relationships with many private clubs throughout Latin America (3 of which are already integrated into our system), we have an incredible opportunity to change the way people invest online.

2. Please, tell us the history of PrivateOpps. Why did your team decide to open Online Investment Program?

The program launched on July 19, 2005 as "Offshore DigiContracts". My group purchased it in early August and we changed the name to PrivateOpps. Although it was not available offline in the past, all private clubs offering their opportunity in the form of "Contracts" in our system have been in existence for many years offline, and have now agreed to accept new capital online through our p2p investing concept. My personal relationships with them go as far back as 1996, and I can vouch for the fact that they are not some new kids on the block armed with a cheap FOREX-how-to book trying to hit it big.

We have decided to open, or more accurately, purchase PrivateOpps for the same reason any other business goes online - to reach a wider audience. More capital brings more opportunities and allows for additional leverage. It is true for investment powerhouses such as Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse as it is for PrivateOpps.

3. Tell us more about your "promising private investment opportunities": FOREX and Fixed-odd trading, Sports Arbitrage, and offshore real estate transactions?

Each "Contract" represents a different private club that specializes, and has access to, a specific investment opportunity. Detailed information for each Contract is available at our website by clicking on a Contract name in the How-it-works section.

Having several opportunities in different markets under one roof allows our participants to diversify their positions without the hassle (and added risk) of dealing with many different programs.

4. Can you show any proof of real work to your investors? (trading records, Sport arbitrage bets)?

We get asked this question often. At this time we are not in a position to produce such documents, not because they do not exist, but due to several other reasons.

As you know by now, our web-based system provides the ability for offline private clubs to open up their otherwise invite-only investor base to PrivateOpps participants. In essence, investments collected from PrivateOpps participants in the form of Unit purchases represent a small percentage of the overall activity of each private club. As such, each club has initially requested to be put in their operation agreements with us that no official records provided to PrivateOpps personnel for our weekly audits be made available to the general PrivateOpps participants or posted publicly on our website.

In the future, we may re-consider this position with new private clubs that sign on to our service.

It is important to note that although a certain program may be able (and willing) to produce such records - real or not - it does not guarantee their legitimacy nor serve as a proof that investor funds are indeed used for their intended purpose. In fact, we believe the exact opposite. Exposing real uncensored records of trades / account ownerships make it easier for program bashers and so-called 'scam busters' to shut down a program. Responsible online investment programs must not expose their investors' funds to such unnecessary risk.

We understand that some may not understand or like our position, but so far our 750+ investors believe, like us, that it will serve us all best in the long-term.

5. Tell us more about 4 types of available Contracts.

PrivateOpps enables anyone to participate in our network of trusted private offshore investment clubs/opportunities, integrated into our platform. 6. Can investor sell Unit anytime after Holding Period?

Absolutely. Upon expiration of a Holding Period, the Units become free of any restrictions. We do not automatically redeem the Units on behalf of our participants, and even after the Holding Period expires the Units continue to accrue the compounded daily interest. The participant, at that point, may redeem all or a portion of his Units at any time, 24 hours a day.

7. Is your company registrated? Do you have real offices?

PrivateOpps is not a registered entity in any jurisdiction. Please see our Participant Agreement for additional information regarding our legal structure see terms and conditions.

We do have a physical office in San Jose, Costa Rica, which serves as our headquarters and from which the daily operation is administered. However, for security reasons and customer privacy concerns, it is not available for visits at this time. In the future we may arrange for 2 additional offices - in Costa Rica and Europe - where we would accept scheduled appointments with PrivateOpps participants.

8. We can't find any contact information on your site besides email. Do you have phone/fax support for your investors?

Since we introduced our online ticketing system last month, we no longer accept phone inquiries. Our customer service staff works around the clock to provide prompt response to inquiries, and Urgent/Critical tickets are sent to our 24-hour personnel for immediate attention. In general, I can say that most support tickets are answered within less than an hour. Written correspondence also serves as proof of communication for the investor, should one be needed in the future for any reason.

At the same time, we have a very active message board, which all staff members frequent and post regularly.

9. Your 12% refferal commission looks unrealistic comparing to your low returns. Why did you decide to create so high refferal comission?

Our referral commission is only slighly higher than the acceptable Finder's Fee of 10% in the investing world. This is simply our way of marketing our service to new users. Other businesses choose traditional advertising, free promotional items, or other marketing schemes, and we believe that a generous online referral program is the right model for the type of business that we operate.

Also keep in mind that our current referral rates are offered until January 15, 2006, at which point we are likely to decrease the commission rate to 10% or less.

10. Tell us more about Special Promotional Bonuses?

This is yet another marketing expense we chose to incur as we entered this new territory of online investing. Our August Units giveaway was a huge success, and due to popular demand we have decided to extend it and offer it in September as well. For every 20 Units that you purchase in a single transaction, we give away 1 free Unit of the same type!

11. What are your plans for the future? How long to you plan to stay online?

PrivateOpps has been designed from scratch to become a major success and a long-term player in the online investing arena. We plan to stay online for a very long time, and hope to see 15 new "Contracts" added to our system by the end of 2006.

We have taken several measures to preserve the longevity of our program:

1. We do not disclose our physical location. Due to the nature of our business, we have made the decision to not disclose our exact physical location in San Jose, Costa Rica. While some will find it unacceptable, we believe that in the long-term it will serve our participants best and provide for a good foundation towards the survival of our venture in the years to come. I could, of course, provide you with a cheap "virtual office" phone number for you to dial and hear it ringing just to gain your trust – but that is not how we operate. We are not hiding somewhere and therefore trying to establish fake presence. We say it as it is – our policy prohibits us from disclosing our location. Our 700+ participants so far seem to like this "feature".

2. No Contract can ever be "over-sold", as each of them has a pre-determined Unit availability as per the private clubs' instructions. Private clubs never have more funds than they can handle to be able to return the interest rates published on our website.

3. Our DDoS security measures and overall technological infrastructure.

4. We pride ourselves in excellent client service. No inquiry is left unanswered for longer than 12 hours – ever.

5. We are constantly seeking new private clubs to be added to our platform and in new fields. One of our next Contracts to be added is offered by a private club of Domain-name investors. This allows our participants to truly diversify their positions and allows for long-term stability.

12. Are investors' funds safe? Who made Due Diligence on your programs?

Each Contract operator maintains a reserve account with us (10-15% of the total value of all Units), which is used to fulfill Unit redemption orders. Apart from individual investors conducting their own Due Diligence on us, with which we fully cooperate and admire their responsible investing mentality, we have recently answered to an official DD request made by 'Team Aaron Shara' of teamaaronshara.com, who is still considering recommending our opportunity to his mailing list subscribers.

13. What can you advice to potential investors?

To invest responsibly, and try to stay away as much as possible from the obvious scams/Ponzis out there.

The only HYIP monitoring site worth answering such a long interview for! :) You guys serve as a great tool for the informed investor!
