First of all, I would like to say that I am looking forward to the r/v. Second of all as some of you know I don't have any. But I am looking forward to providing my expertise should you all decide to come to Penang to spend your dinars!
My opinion, heck if I put in a quarter of what I put into PIPS, I'd be a millionaire heck 10 times over. But alas PIPS has gotten to it first and as we struggle to buy a decent apartment, I just can hope that the Dinar r/v soon.
Here's the thing. I've notice my water doesn't boil when I keep expecting it too, so maybe we should treat the r/v like this!
Happy waiting!

I bought enough dinar to pay off my house and help my family. I have aging parents who found themslef on an unexpected fixed income after losing there shirt in stocks and CD's. My sister is a single Mom who is saving for a wedding, My brother is hard working and has a family. I live with SGS who you all know would love for this to hit big so she too could help her family. I have bought all my family dinar and helped Susie with hers. My house will be paid off with a RV of .005. So have i over bought ? or have i done a very foolish thing ? I can tell you if it never gets to a break even for me life will go on because i have my family. If it goes higher than .30 and i seem to have over bought i will get my family set and then work on helping others. Giving is such a wonderful thing and i can hardly wait ! ;)
First this on the list is to call Mom ..... i dream about that day all the timeLast edited by H2O_Lover; 24-11-2006 at 10:29 PM.

Let me begin...
In March 2004 a friend called from Kuwait and asked if I'd purchased any Dinar and I said no. Of course, like the rest, I jumped on the bandwagon not knowing the outcome. But, I didn't give up-I knew there was something about these Dinars...even to this day my wife thinks I'm holding useless money.
However, I've not meet so many optimistic people-all providing unending proof of the inevitable that is almost amongst us and we can taste it.
Furthermore; that folks is Good Kama and it feels unlike any moment I've had in my Dinar history and it's a good one.
I'll keep faith-Shiite, Sunni or later it must.

"As long as we live in this world, we are bound to encounter problems. If, at such times, we lose hope and become discouraged, we diminish our ability to face difficulties. If, on the other hand, we remember that it is not just ourselves but also everyone who has to undergo suffering, this more realistic perspective will increase our determination and capacity to overcome troubles." Part of the thanks goes to Bryan
As strange as it seems, one person responsible for my involvement in dinars is Bryan Marsden. Had he not shut down PIPS forum when he did, Marek would not have started RC and I would never have read Adster's posting about dinars. I started small, just buying a 25K now and then, but in May, when Adster posted rumours about a higher reval than anybody had expected so far, I bought a slightly larger sum. I still do not hold as much as I'd like to, but enough to pay off all debts (even with a rather small reval) and still have some money in the bank.

How we came into the Dinar aura
I am a financial professional - been in business 29 years and want to retire SOON. A client was at my desk this past February and told me about his Dinar purchase and said that I probably wouldn't "approve" of what he was doing. The gambling part of me kicked in, I researched it online for about a month and then my husband and I jumped in, big time. I also brought 9 others in as well.
Aside from the retirement goal, there are so many other things and good that we can all do with this money. I am going to set up Educational Trusts in the names of all my 6 Grandchildren and that money will eventually go from generation to generation for education and informed kids.
Also, we have already made a list of several people we want to "gift" our annual allotment of $24,000 as prescribed by IRS code, currently.
We're also going to set up some Retirement Annuities for people we care about who we feel would eventually struggle at finding a secure retirement. I've been writing down lists of charities as I see them in the media to check out - ones that help people who really need it. I'm particularly interested in those poor newborns who are born adicted to drugs or alcohol. So cruel.
So, we've started our list and feel we have an opportunity to help future generations and I think that's a real last legacy many of us can pass along.
We'll work with Estate Attorneys on much of this to have all the I's dotted and the T's crossed.
And of course, there is Rolclub. I have been, in the beginning, on 7 different Forums. But in the end, there is only ONE!!!! The quality of the people and the information that imparted here is second to none. We thank all of you.

It's Adsters Fault!
I too saw Adster’s post
"This is the LAST time you'll see this....."
I didn’t jump in straight away as I had been burnt like most of us by PIPS.
I kept going back to the thread and slowly started to see the possibilities.
I bought my first Dinars in September 2005 and have added to them a few times since then.
As the facts and rumours got more optimistic I realised that I could give back to the people that had lost on PIPS (mostly their dreams as I had paid for their PIPS) by buying enough dinars to be able to give them each their own notes for them to cash in when they like after the reval.
I will also be able to make sure that all the generations in my family will be well catered for and have more than enough to give to my favourite charities.
My husband is still very sceptical, although he did say to get some more a while ago, so maybe he is coming round.
I would really like to take this opportunity to thank Adster, OSW, SGS and all the others that provide us with all the information.
I never thought that I would be interested in the birth of democracy in a country, but I find that I now don’t look on this as just a money maker. I really hope that the Iraqi people can find peace and stability soon.
I must admit that I spend a lot of time in the Rolclub forum and thank all those involved for keeping it running.Take care - Be Happy - and Smile

I still believe the IQD will someday RV although it seems to be RVing as we speak. Currently at 1441. Who knows - I just hope and pray that once it hits the target 1365 for the end of the Year, that this is not going to be the exchange rate. I already made my investment - so money spent is Money spent. No turning back for me. I will sit on it for however long it takes.

Bought some dinar through a dealer in May 2006, following discussion w/my son-in-law who has been following for about 2 years, now. At first I would ask him every couple of weeks if he had "heard" anything yet. He began e-mailing me links to various articles and I would plod through them, having no idea about the politics existing in Iraq. In September, I made a (for me on a fixed income/disability) large purchase because by then I had begun to look through IIF and finally began to visit RC. I'm now addicted - it's first thing I do in the a.m. and last thing I do at night (or following morning, depending how long I can stay awake at the computer). The flood of information available that I've read, so far, I still find overwhelming. While I had always been skeptical of American news "sound-bites", now there was more, in-depth news from different sources and I find this so intriguing - Putting aside the fact that we'll all be rich (what am I SAYING?!?!?) I'm learning so much - a lot that I never thought I'd want to know: the degree of suffering in Iraq -the resolute determination of the various leaders of that country. I realize that no matter how much info we have, and how many articles we read and how much it hurts to read of individual stories we THINK we can identify with, we cannot come close to experiencing what that nation is going through. At first I felt guilty for wanting to make money from this situation and then I realized that we have all been truly investing in having faith in the recovery of Iraq. With the proceeds I will be able to help my immediate family. Then, there are others' needs to consider: food banks, homeless shelters. There are alot of postings about meeting in the Caymans and I know this would be fun....I'll actually look forward when, in a few years, we can all gather in a refurbished downtown Baghdad for coffee! Thanks for the education and the heart!

We're on roll now! Then again, so is Charmin!
