i realize this isnt the right thread and im sorry neno but i wanted to reach the most eyes with one post. my brother is in the hospital and his colonoscopy today showed a tumor in his colon which they are going to do surgery in the morning to remove. the doctor said he thought there might be something up in the lower intestine as well but wont know until he goes in there.

this brother has had skin cancer leisions over the last 20 years removed as well. please put him on your prayer lists (Jack Burton) and send some positive vibes in the direction of my family in this time of need. we have been through so much in the last year, we need to be surrounded with love.

I will say a prayer for your brother in time of need and for your family in time of togetherness. Keep your chin up for your brother I bet he's thankful he has a sister that cares for him like you do.

While I was praying for Jack last night the Lord put Jeremiah 29:11 on my heart. I don’t know Jack’s relationship with the Lord but you know I encourage him to seek the Lord, draw nigh to Him, and claim this word for himself.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

just to update you all on my brothers chemo treatments. he completed his fourth set two weeks ago and then last week took a catscan to determine how the chemo is working on the tumor on his liver. i am pleased to announce that it shows shrinkage!!!!!!!!!!
we will know exact amount/measurements when we return for his 5th sequence of treatments this tuesday.

I SAW THE CATSCAN PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!

ok, i saw jacks catscan pictures from february and last week in comparison. the tumor has shrunk at least 1 cm in width!!!!!
the most striking feature i noticed was the original catscan pictures the doctor didnt need to change the contrast at all for us to make out the tumor but in the new catscan pictures he had to change the contrast on the pictures so we could see the tumor as well which indicates that it is lessening in density!!!!!!!

the doctor is very pleased as are we all here!! he also reports that its not so close to the blood supply that it would be difficult to operate on. so all is good and we continue on with the chemo for another set of treatments which hopefully will be the ones that make it possible for resection to take the cancer out. he also printed off jack's chemo numbers on a graph which shows that they dropped like a rock into the normal range and have begun to level off a bit but are still declining, BUT NORMAL RANGE!!!! and, his platelettes have come up this time compared to past readings!!!!!
