I hope that by now your brother and your Mom are well and let me say that I bet you keep their spirits up, just like you do mine with all your very informative posts. It is really appreciated. I know your family at Rolclub is praying for you. May God bestow all his special blessings on you and your family. Please let us know how they are both doing and keep on wooting us. Susie: Try the mangosteen fruit juice produced by the original company XANGO. You should contact Marlene at the Xealthy site and get all the info. It has helped me so much. It has xanathones (not sure of spelling) which attack the parts of the body having problems. It is a very powerful antioxidant and helps with cancer. I take it cause I have asthma, which has not botheed me since and I have Diabetes II which is controlled much better and the swelling in my ankle has gone away. I can get up in the mornings with no back pain and I have energy all day. I was a mess. Thank God for Marlene who helped me so much. Try her site. She is a member. I guess you know. Good luck! I wish I had known sooner. God be with you & Jack. Your Mom can take it too and you too. It prevents a lot of things. Nidya

ok, updates, after i got onto the oncology department here at the hospital about jack not getting anywhere and time not being on our side they got md anderson to inform them that jack will be getting a call friday to set up an appointment.
moms doctor called me to the hall today to inform me that the lasix to get rid of the fluid around moms lungs and heart were causing her kidneys to fail so they had to discontinue it. they cant fix the fact that her lungs and heart are failing and since she cant take the lasix without having to start dialysis he wanted to prepare me that shes not going to get better but they can extend her life as long as she follows instructions. she will have about half the strength she had before so the working will have to stop. it will break her heart but shes got to realize on her own that she cant continue. she knew a couple weeks ago that she wasnt going to be able to keep doing it much longer. at one month shy of 85 years young i told her shes done her share and then some. and since shes smoked cigarettes for about 70+ years thats going to be an obstacle to occupy her enough that she doesnt want one. doctor said one more puff on those worn out lungs and she wont make the winter.
her kidney output looks better today so hopefully we caught that in time and so far shes not looking puffy from the fluids so hopefully her heart and lungs are working just enough to keep her from drowning inside for now. her lungs sound better today but still very low bp.
i want to thank you all for your prayers, support, and good thoughts. what goes around, comes around so youre all covered.Last edited by shotgunsusie; 26-01-2007 at 03:16 AM.

Susie: You can looking into a couple of products from Wealth of the Rainforest - Pharmacy to the World from Raintree Nutrition, Inc. the products are Graviola, Graviola Max & N-Tense
the phone contact is 800-780-5902.
I have a friend who told this to a church member to order it for thier skin cancer and they ordered it (not sure which product) for skin cancer and it got rid of the skin cancer. It is worth checking into.
Also I'd to recomend Goji Juice from FreeLife International. It is a great product. You can read about this product at Gojibook.com

the respirtory/cardiologist expert looked at mom this morning and said that she wasnt getting any better in her lungs and she needed to have at least a bipap on. they took her to icu and she refused to keep the mask on her face and wanted to go home.
now this is a woman who is still working 40 hours a week at walmart stocking shelves at 85 because she likes having the insurance and if she wasnt working she would go home and sit down and die. she didnt want that.
so, when questioned by the icu staff about directive on keeping her alive i thought you gotta be kidding me? this woman who keeps trudging along because she knows if she stops she wont make it?
well, shes fighting tooth and nail against the respirator that they have put her on to repair her lungs enough to breath on her own. i had to make the decision to put her on the respirator on my own, something that i look at mom with the tubes in her and wonder what was i thinking? i have brain damage for god sakes.
after all that i reach out to my significant other for some strength at one of the lowest points of my life and she says, i cant come which i wasnt expecting her to i realize her career requires dedication thats 24/7 and ive chosen to accept that, but, youre not going to want to hear this maybe its time to let your mom go. (thanks for the support)
after all that i realize that this all doesnt matter anymore. no amount of money is worth it.Last edited by shotgunsusie; 30-01-2007 at 09:14 AM.

Chin up Susie - All THIS does not really matter but your Mum does and lots and lots of us are keeping your family in our Prayers. As long as your Mum wants to fight it is her choice and you don't need or deserve to be told otherwise. At this time it matters little but try and think of all of us who are pulling with you.

Hi Susie,
Yes it is times like you are going through that make us all realize what’s really important in life… We stand in the gap and pray for you and mom in your hour of need.
There is hope in Jesus Christ, have you had a chance to pray and ask Him to heal your mom? He’s a wonderful, ever present savior that still hears and answers pray. Just like the woman in the story below, reach out and touch the hem of his garment.
God bless you Susie,
Dave
Matthew 9
A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed
18 While He spoke these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.” 19 So Jesus arose and followed him, and so did His disciples.
20 And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. 21 For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” 22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.
23 When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd wailing, 24 He said to them, “Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him. 25 But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose. 26 And the report of this went out into all that land.
Two Blind Men Healed
27 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”
28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” 30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it. ” 31 But when they had departed, they spread the news about Him in all that country.
A Mute Man Speaks
32 As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed. 33 And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marveled, saying, “It was never seen like this in Israel!”
34 But the Pharisees said, “He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons.”
The Compassion of Jesus
35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.[e] 36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary[f] and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

feel your pain
susie, i have sat here for a couple of minutes trying to think of what to say to help ease your pain. There isn't anything I can say that will help. I have been there as I have lost both parents, two uncles and an aunt that were all very close.
I have one site that might interest you,
VitaminB17.org
It is a different philosphy that the standard medical doctors prescribe to. I have not tried any of this on my own, however, in severe times, severe choices have to be made. I know you are a strong person and will survive this as you have other things in your life. There is no way to sugar-coat it, just realize that I have had your pain and I know you will come out stronger for it.
Now, I realize that this in not the appropiate time, but think of the help you will be able to do for someone else after we hit the rv. It is a small consolation at best but it is something.
ruby and I pray for your mother and brother.
