I have been on many forums over the years, in fact, my first moderator position was on AOL when it lanched back in late '80's, and the one thing that will never change are people. We are all different, come from different backgrounds, beliefs, countries, social status, educational levels, political beliefs, and on and on it goes, so how can anyone expect everyone to be on the same page or in total agreement with anyone else?

It is sad to see the attacks on people start to grow, and yes, for those who have been here since the start can see the changes, but like all changes, some are good, some are bad, that is life, so what we are seeing is nothing more than normal life in a very diversified world we all live in, and that involves disagreements on all fronts.

I see some have thicker skins than others, while a few have much thinner skins, just as some have more tolerance than others, there are just too many variables to deal with, but we all try to keep balance as a goal, or as I like to refer to it, the good, bad and ugly. (g) We don't have to all agree, we don't have to read posts from those we don't respect or even like, but we do all have to respect others, regardless of who or what they are all about.

I don't like to ban people, I like to ask them to respect others, that is all I care about. If a person is offended about a post, then respond with respectful counter point, but as we all should know as adults, why insult a persons opinion. It works both ways, but name calling is not the adult way to handle any response to a post, and this we will not tolerate, so expect to see action against anyone who steps over the line. I don't usually bother with the petty stuff, but disrespecting of others is where I draw the line.

We have a few strong minded members which do not like to be questioned, so if you are a thin skinned person and can't take it, delete this person from your forum preferences section, simple. It all comes down to respect, so if you have low tolerance level to adversity and those you may not like on the forum, delete them. I read everyone's posts and I rarely will say anything as I learned long ago it serves no value to the topic of discussion to start a tit for tat war. Sure, it can be fun for some who like to start a little friction, and yes, we have seen many new people here who enjoy this nonsense, but I am not one of them, so be warned, you will be watched more closely.

In short, lets all make a New Years Resolution to be a little more tolerant of others, and a lot more respectful of others opinions and personalities. I have read many opinions here on our recent losses of valued members for various reasons, and depending on the person, it may be good or bad, this is just the way it goes, not everyone is always going to be in agreement. We see grudges developing, and then expected favoritism is suggested, but it all comes down to this, we are all different, so keep it respectful and no one will have problems. I have never banned anyone, not that I didn't want to, but this is what makes for a good forum in my opinion, open to everyone, regardless of position on issues of threads. We cannot all agree with eachother, but lets all try to be more respectful of one another and stop the name calling and insults, OK?

Happy New Year to all, the Good, Bad and Ugly, (g) Mike

    Smile Thanks

    Hi Friends!
Thanks for your understanding and support. Like the vast majority here at ROL we really ment well when we posted what we heard. Of course it is quite embarresing when it doesn't come to pass. Not that I spend time feeling sorry for myself or anything like that, but I do feel bad for Joey, for the way he seems so crushed by this. I was too harsh on you, Goldraker- my apologies. I really feel Joe should have had a chat with the professor to find out his thoughts on the "why it didn't / what needs to happen to trigger it" type of questions, but Joey's thoughts are cold at the moment. I had thought about posting something like this in the old rummor thread but that has morphed into something else; besides there is no real info or rummor to pass on. We'll see what transpires by the time he goes back to school in a couple of weeks. Maybe we can get Joe to meet with the professor and discuss those issues- but I'm hoping there won't be any need to do that by then!

    Default Why?

I have enjoyed reading all the news about our investment for months now. It was actually sgs that tipped me off to this forum. I am an adult who lives in the real world and I know to take things with a grain of salt. The positive and not so positive. I believe the fact remains that all of our opinions are just opinions because this is being cleverly crafted by the bankers, who are NOT the goi. The pattern in the world is clearly being designed to separate the rich from the poor, so is any wonder that even our prized rolclub forum gets a negative rift on a regular and consistant basis?
Thoughts are things, and we will always get to be right so I think we should just try to see victory and not fall into the traps of conflict that seem to arise in cyclical patterns on this forum. Other places have succumed to this,
and now as we get closer to our goal, instead of celebration we have war?
Am I wrong in assuming that everyone who takes the time to log into this forum has the same desire? To see the Dinar revalue on the global market?
I remain confused as to how a group of people who have ONE goal only, can find conflict in the proccess to see it through. The slow reveal ones and the fast reveal ones do have the same goal, right? Does the difference in opinion
on how we get there justify spiteful behavior? I believe EVERYTHING eminates from our thoughts and emotions. Let us ask ourselves who stands to gain from
negative vibes about the Dinar? Surley somebody does. I would rather not be a pawn in this, but take active onweship (for my part) on the out come.
Ladies and gentlemen. With all due respect and appreciation we are INCHES
from the touchdown line and now getting dog piled. Personally I will use my teeth, nails, and whatever human spirit I can find within myself to crawl accross the line WITH MY PRIZE.
Can I ask for EVERYONES help to move through this with me and SEE IT DONE?
If I had my way, I would have all the logical people and all the dreamers
splashing in the ocean with a sense of pride and relief as we have become FREE. For me, its the ONLY goal I see.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY

    Talking

Tell Joe not to feel bad and yes, if it doesn't happen by the time he gets back to school, he should ask the professor his thoughts on it. We know that Iraq works at their own pace, so Joe shouldn't feel crushed. I for one appreciate any info given. I don't believe the professor would steer Joe wrong, especially since he gave him good advice on that stock.

    Happy New Year!

Maybe Joe won't be going back to school by the time school resumes, maybe Joe will be too rich to worry about an education outside of private.

Thanks all the same to both of you.

Since we're in the crazy thread does anyone follow Nostradamus?

Does anyone believe Saddam was Mabus?

    Mabus
    Century 2, Quatrain 62
Mabus plus tost alors mourra, viendra,
De gens & bestes vn horrible defaite:
Puis tout à coup la vengeance on verra,
Cent, main, faim quand courra la comete.

Mabus then will soon die, there will come
A horrible undoing of people and animals:
At once vengeance one will see vengeance,
One hundred hands, thirst, famine, when the comet will run.
