Let me start off by saying thank you to all of you guys. For all of the work and great info you contribute.

What I find very very interesting is the ICI was schedule for late November and the HCL was scheduled for mid November. Notice nether of these happened. They just carried on arguing and delaying and taking vacations. Now 5 Months later they finally pass the HCL (just waiting for the rubber stamp.) Then suddenly all these very big important meeting pop up ICI signing the entry into the WTO the end of the SBA.

If you ask me they were going to RV in November but just could not pull it together. But I find it is funny that all of the meetings are popping up now the HCL has been passed. Also lets not forget that they are even talking about FIL that really has not been talked about since they passed it 6 Months ago.

So it looks like it is all coming together. And we needed all of the PACKAGE together before anything could be implemented.

Entered the new Iraqi investment law into effect actively after the announcement of the formation of the National Authority for Investment, which will be responsible for investment policy and regulation and control application.

(MENAFN) An official at the Russian Look Oil Company announced that the company plans to invest in Iraq's oil industry, Iraq Directory reported. The official stated that the proposal to work in Iraq's West Qurna-2 project will be the first to allow Russian companies to participate in the commercial investment for the larger Iraqi oil fields in order to open channels of future cooperation between both countries to reconstruct Iraq in all fields of economy, mainly in oil. (MENAFN) An official at the Iraqi government said that the Iraqi southern region welcomes the Arab states in general and the Gulf in particular to work in cooperation with the Iraqi authorities on the Iraq Great Port project, the Iraq Directory reported. The official stated that the project aims to connect Iraq with the Arab and foreign business through building a port, warehouses and a railway linking Iraq to Europe in order to facilitate the transfer of the equipments and machinery necessary for reconstruction projects across the common waters. Moreover, the port will be built in a safe area outside the cities of the south in order to enable the investors to examine their goods safely, added he.
