They only care about the people insofar as they provide votes to give them power. I personally dont expect Iraq to complete any of the bills currently on the table that we have been reading about anytime soon. I think May will come and go and nothing will get done. I hope I'm wrong!!

I too believe it will happen. Just not within any time frame that they propose. There's just too much wealth potential for the country. However, they have an ineffective government thats mired down in there own personal interests. It would happen tomorrow if Maliki had the authority to throw a few parliament members off a ten story building in front of the rest! Thats if Maliki himself has any real interest in the countries prosperity. As long as they stay the current coarse, his buddies in Iran have influence.

What he's talking about is all the money these guys make and the perks they get. Then they stand around dividing the country into politacal circles and in the end really get nothing done. Then they just up and vote themselves raises and such. Man I'm in the wrong line of work.
