    Default Excuse Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May 4, 2007 -- WASHINGTON - Lawmakers divided over whether to keep U.S. troops in Iraq are finding common ground on one topic: They are furious that Iraqi politicians are considering a lengthy break this summer.

"If they go off on vacation for two months while our troops fight - that would be the outrage of outrages," said Rep. Chris Shays (R-Conn.).

The Iraq parliament's recess, starting this July, would likely come without Baghdad politicians reaching agreements considered key to easing sectarian tensions. Examples include regulating distribution of 'oil wealth and reversing measures that have excluded many Sunnis from jobs because of Ba'ath party membership.

Iraqi politicians said yesterday the break might not happen or may be less than two months, but said it should be of no concern to U.S. lawmakers
THEIR 2 MONTH VACATION SHOULD BE OF NO CONCERN TO U.S. POLITICIANS/LAWMAKERS - GIVE ME A BREAK!! We are losing our sons/daughters/neighbors, etc. for their freedom!! They just don't get it!
It SHOULD BE of most concern to them, for they are losing their people it this war, too!! Sorry for this to be our first post - hope I did it right, BUT I LOVE THE U.S., and ALL of our soldiers, and despite what the media (here of there) makes of it - the Americans are NOT bad people! Thanks for letting me LOOSE - sorry! I am TRULY NOT THIS APPAULED at most of the posts!

Shays defines the term R.I.N.O. But on this I agree with him 100%!

They make this should like that it all would have had been done before their vacation, and no one would be around to keep the records. What it sounds like to me. Dont know who wrote it but puts it in a way that reads that way.

Let's look at this seriously. Where was the outrage when they went on vacation last year, or the year before that, or the year before that.
    Looks like some contradiction here.

    Default hmmm

this is the classic Mexican standoff...

The GOI has many times expressed disapproval (in different ways) of the US presence. Now they take a vacation and tell us "its not our concern"

But, it seems they win this one. After all, we ain't leaving, so now they now know that no matter what they do (bribe, graft, murder, laziness) we will keep sending them money, American blood and someone to blame when their tribal members complain of lack of jobs. All the while, they continue to get debt relief with nothing (its nothing until its proven otherwise) in exchange from the world. IMHO, because of our good nature, we have been royally punked.

I suppose there are 3 alternatives to resolve this:
    1. bomb then slash and burn iraq like Huns. (not likely)
    2. contine to be the usefult ***** of GOI.
    3. leave.

Its just sad the way the US Govt is willing to bleed the taxpayers dry while enriching these corrupt people.

I wonder when we look back on this in 2011 if our noble savage attitude will have make our children proud or angry?
