Iraqi Deputy : conditions of the World Bank unloaded budget 2007
    (Voice of Iraq) - 06-05-2007 | Sotaliraq.com -

Iraqi Deputy : conditions of the World Bank has emptied the budget of 2007 slogans
    Baghdad-file Press

The member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Albldaoui ones that the State's obligation to the International Monetary Fund conditions led to the abandonment of the bright slogans prepared on the basis of the federal budget, where the removal of subsidies on oil derivatives, were also reduced support for the food basket of ration cards in the framework of an overall strategy for the phased withdrawal of support policy, which was described as having a negative impact on the overall economy.
And if the 2006 budget had witnessed the beginning steps to raise public support for oil derivatives, and the ration card, these trends have continued in the 2007 budget, since support was lifted once the oil derivatives in light of repeated crises stifling and the level distribution and abundance in all governorates the country, as well as the lack of an appropriate and clear signs of investment in the oil sector help to alleviate the crisis, and this means a big increase in the prices of derivatives decreasing Iraq during the months of this year if not accompanied by the decision to lift support bold and intense negotiations with the International Monetary Fund so that we can assess the Least the postponement of the lifting of fuel prices, because that will reflect directly on the poor and disadvantaged are not able to deal with the black market, leading to a severe crisis afflicting the country, and the situation falls on the rest of the support and trying to alleviate the problem of unemployment and poverty which had not yet appropriate remedies in the framework of a national strategy adopted by the state budget.

Default Sharm al-Sheikh resolutions dominate Iraqi press

Baghdad-Press :: Aswat al Iraq :: Aswat al Iraq

    Baghdad-Press
Sharm al-Sheikh resolutions dominate Iraqi press
    By Hamid al-Hamrani

Baghdad, May 6, (VOI) -While evaluating the resolutions from the Sharm al-Sheikh conferences held last Thursday and Friday, some Iraqi newspapers published on Sunday said that it is difficult to know which resolutions are achievable, while others described the Iraqi issue as a difficult equation that has to be solved.

In its editorial, the independent al-Dustour newspaper said that the obligations placed on the Iraqi government to restore its role in the regional and international scenes indicate that the help provided by the international community is "not for free."

Discussing the obligations placed on both the Iraqi government and the international community, the newspaper wrote that not setting a deadline for responding to requests from both sides does not serve the current Iraqi situation. According to the newspaper, the absence of benchmarks for evaluating progress being made by either side makes it difficult to know which resolutions are achievable.

The Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm al-Sheikh hosted on Thursday the International Compact for Iraq Conference, which produced a document bearing its name that specified assistance to be provided by the international community to help Iraq reconstruct its economic and military institutions. In a further attempt to back the Iraqi government, the resort also hosted the Iraq's Neighboring Countries' Conference, with the participation of Egypt, Bahrain, representatives from the G8, the UN Security Council's five permanent members, the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and the Arab League.

Criticizing the Sharm al-Sheikh conferences, Shakir al-Jabouri wrote in an article entitled, 'Why Sharm al-Sheikh?', asserting that the conferences held to solve the "Iraqi riddle" have added fuel to the fire. Al-Jabouri said that most of the promises and commitments made at the conferences will disappear when the television cameras leave. Only whispers during private sessions remain, al-Jabouri added.

The Shiite al-Bayyina al-Jadida published an editorial entitled, 'Iraq shines in Sharm al-Sheikh,' in which it wrote that Iraq has proved to every one that it has managed to start its ascent from the bottom of the heap in spite of terrorism. "Every one has realized that the Iraqi issue is a difficult equation that cannot be passed over and Iraq cannot be removed from the map," the newspaper said.

Dar al-Salam newspaper, whose board of directors is chaired by First Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, quoted MP Dhafir al-Aani from the Iraqi Accordance Front (IAF) as saying, "We wish that the Sharm al-Sheikh conferences had offered serious solutions and yielded clear commitments and obligations on all sides to support the Iraqi people, particularly with regards to security and development issues."

Analyzing the speech on national reconciliation made by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki at the conferences, al-Aani stated, "Al-Maliki overlooked Iran's interference and devastating role in the Iraqi security file."

The Kurdish al-Ittihad newspaper published an article entitled 'National accord first' by Farid Rawondouzi, who said that the Iraqi delegation to the conferences, led by al-Maliki, did not represent all segments of Iraqi society.

On another matter, the newspaper published a headline that read, 'Sulaymaniya Brigade leaves Baghdad after accomplishing its mission, under which it wrote "The head of Sulaymaniya Brigade, Anwar Doulani, announced that the brigade had left Baghdad, returning to Sulaymaniya, after spending four months protecting the neighborhoods of al-Shula and al-Harba."
"The Iraqi Defense Ministry did not expect the Sulaymaniya Brigade to achieve such success," Doulani added.

In an interview with the Shiite al-Bayyina al-Jadida that it said it will publish on Monday, al-Maliki stated, "The U.S. occupation is an official occupation registered by the United Nations. However we have started to take the reins of many of our affairs and we will not allow the U.S. occupation to remain for a long time."

"We will not allow anyone to divide our country. Whoever bets that Iraq will be divided is mistaken. There will only be a unified Iraq, no matter what," the newspaper quoted the prime minister as saying.

Discussing the reasons why al-Maliki did not visit Saudi Arabia during his tour of Arab countries a few days before the Sharm al-Sheikh conferences, the newspaper quoted Iraqi President Jalal al-Talabani as saying, "The reason which was officially announced is related to the business of Saudi officials, but the real reason is that Saudis do not like al-Maliki."

    NOTE: Just read this...

The pention Law is a backbreaker for the budget according to the IMF..vast expense of state capital that just went out to the banks for the first payment of the pension...announced by the press and would require a massive shippment of funds out to the branchs only to be delayed..by ammendments...conflict in regional areas (this complaint)

Let's SEE...Pension Law passed... First Checks to be paid... Massive amounts of money going out to the regional banks...In A hurry as the article said they were airlifted...1+1+1=3...All the same time frame...Remember..."given the everything is equal...the correct solution is the simplest..."

Thought that I would ad this post note as the above info MAY make some board members angry because we have had several days of speculation extending down the rabbit hole of juicey rumours...I support (IHO) what I stated above as the simplest solution as to why they would be transporting was sums of money out to regional banks...the simple answer is that they were the pension funds being sent out to regional banks instead of the Holy Grail...the cup...the horn of plenty...of our holy RV...small bills....

    Here is why:

We have had reports that the banks have had the coins/bills in their vault since day one

BUT, for NOW they are now WORTHLESS...

Think about it...who in their right mind would want to walk into a store and put 1268 dinar coins down on the counter to pay for that can of coke???

What sane person would want to carry around a backpack with these smaller bills...

    What sales clerk would accept?

Do you pay for anything in pennies? Well, 1 Dinar is a lot less than a penny's worth of currency...RIGHT NOW...

Can you BUY ANYTHING WITH PENNIES HERE?

In fact, you can't in American...anything over several dollars is not accepted...even the banks will not accept loose pennies...

SO WHY WOULD THE IRAQIS BE ANY DIFFERENT???

There have been several recent articles circulated here that impled that the small bills do exist but, (as the articles state) they will be released when they become needed...Become needed...like in a RV?

See I agree with you that they do exist but...follow the rumour trail backwards into those mystical days of first thought and whisper...and YE SHALL FIND...rumours...abound...circulated and then rejected by many of our now fabled gurus as "Cut & Run" (and the one I truly loved: Show Me De money...fellows...show me a picture)...

But, from the beginning we have been told in whispers that they are accounted for...inventoried at the banks and are merely awaiting the coming of the RV to burst forth upon the CBI's Website gallery...

I believe that this was and is true and in MHO the swift movement of funds out the the regional banks was the pension money being sent...Because...REMEMBER...the pension law was a benchmark...
