Red chief, Our prayers go out to all those men who lost their lives in that fire. Prayers go to all of our men and women who risk their lives everyday in the name of freedom; fighting, working, protecting and serving for what is so precious to us. Every day you put your life in harms way and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You put your life in harms way and that is such detication to what you and I believe in too. God Bless.

While we are in the caring mode, I too have an issue....
Monday afternoon, I was vacuuming. (which is so news worthy, probably deserves it's own thread) My daughter was napping and my three year old was "helping" me with the light cleaning. While vacuuming, I casually bent over and picked up my door mat to clean underneath it. At that very second, my son start running around the kitchen table screaming his head off. I look down, and to HORROR was the WORLD'S LARGEST WOLF SPIDER (they call them this, because they are indeed comparible in size to a wolf) chasing my son. I, in total freak out mode, start chasing the WOLF spider. So picture it if you will, a three year old little boy being chased by a spider, followed by a grown woman chasing the spider....ALL OF US SCREAMING OUR HEADS OFF. (yes, the spider was also screaming....it has a very icky distasteful scream to match its appearance)
So finally it stops, parks it's ugly self in my kitchen. I immediately starting looking around for some type of cleanser that sprays..i.e. Scrubbing Bubbles, 409, something of that sort. My three year old, who is more level headed than I, tells me to simply use the vacuum. (duh!)
HERE IS WHERE IT GETS EVEN UGLIER!!!
In the half of a second that it took me too turn around and turn the vacuum back on......it vanished....it was no longer there....GONE!!!!!!!!!! I ran to the phone and called Terminix (yes, they are on speed dial) and DEMANDED they stop what they are doing and come to my house. Well, they didn't like my tone, and won't be here until Friday!!!!!!!!!
So, now I am here living in this house of horrors, knowing that the WORLD'S LARGEST WOLF SPIDER is somewhere in here lurking with it's hideous long icky legs!! How is one supposed to sleep!?!?! I have not been back to the kitchen.....what if Terminix doesn't find it???
So, any advice, kind words of wisdom, thoughts....would be appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!!Last edited by MOM2TWO; 20-06-2007 at 07:44 PM.

We want this chatterbox corner to have an air of high spirits and much, much less with soured pickles ....
Sour pickles, some think those are OK, My family likes them on a PB and J sandwich. Add them to a potato salad, big think handpacked hamburger, side of stacked ham and cheese, or just whole to crunch on. RV Dang 125.5 wow, I think the last time I was that was Jr. High school. I would just blow away if I was at that weight! Now I want to see losing 12.55 that would be awesome. so let the RV come down to 1.255 to the $$ or how about .1255 %, someone do the math on that one for me!

it is always very sad and painful both to the eyes and hearts as we seek the answers with our Lord. why them who have so much to live and serve the community they live to protect and to preserve, a life we and them, ALL deserve?
life is so short and pitiless while they try save others, needless to save theirs and lose themselves with loved ones left behind with grief and sorrow...why??? may the prayers and your belief in the hope and faith you pray for bring comfort to those you know my dear Chief.
God bless those brave firemen.

gee, have you tried calling your mother-in-law over? oddly enough, spider senses are very sharply tuned and acute when they feel the footsteps of a mother-in-law arriving, sometimes as far down before she makes the turn!

Ok, mom2three,
HERE'S WHAT YOU DO. Go to TARGET (ALWAYS a good excuse to go there anyway) and buy some raid indoor kitchen spray. Spray the edges around the cabinets along the floor, under the refrigerator and that creepy thing will be dead before Friday....
Habakkuk 2:2-3 Then the LORD answered me and said: “ Write the vision And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

I have my own spider story. We bought a mosquito magnet and yesterday, I went to clean out the trap and to the left of the trap was a GIGANTIC FAT spider that had spun a web inside next to the trap thingy. those suckers are smart, i tell ya. it was sooooo fat eating all the skeeters that we were catching.... the web was causing ISSUES with the thing running correctly dern pests.
