WHAT IS CAPITAL MARKET BILL

MENAFN) A representative of the General Institution of the Iraqi Securities Market said that during discussions the entity has re-elected a former official of the organization as Chairman of the Trustees Board and that the country's draft capital market bill is expected to be finalized through these measures, Iraq Directory reported.

He further stated that the issuance of Iraq's market bill the will stimulate stock market investment activity and will in return meet the needs of several Iraqi investors.

It is noteworthy that the most significant achievements of the establishment include opening up to investors, obtaining modern head offices, achievement of preparations for electronic trading, and permitting non-Iraqis to join the organization.

IT needs three readings to be passed.

Since there is NO ARGUMENT stirring around this.

It would seem that passage is insured and MAY be done as Early as Next Wednesday (IMO). Then sent to the President Council for Ratification and then (IMO) the electronic & worldwide opening of the Stock Bourse.


NOTE:

This is the bill that will among other things allow foreign investment, establish operational guide lines for the electronic (computerized) operation of the Stock bourse, intends to transform the Iraqi securities market into a commercial contributory company and access immigrant Iraqis' capital, indicating an intention to encourage Iraqi mediators to open foreign offices to support investment and bourse activity.

Iraq to establish National Oil Firm

(MENAFN) The former Iraqi Oil Minister stated that the Iraqi Parliament will vote during the next month on establishing the state-owned National Iraqi Oil Company, Iraq Directory reported.

The former minister indicated that the Iraqi oil and gas bill, under which the company will be established, is aimed at regulating the country's oil and gas sectors through coordinating with local and international firms on investment opportunities.

He pointed out that oil and gas sectors, which represent Iraq's main source of income, need to be organized and coordinated by one firm for the whole country.

(MENAFN) Ras Al Khaima's Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler will inaugurate the Iraq First International Convention for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) during the next month, Gulf News reported.

The two-day seminar will be organized by Iraq First, a non-profit organization launched by KGL Investment Company. The initiative will also be attended by the Iraqi Vice President of Iraq, and will bring together Iraqi entrepreneurs and international investors.

The Ministry of Construction and Housing conclude contracts cost 86 billion dinars to implement projects Gaza public buildings
