    Default Chew Your Treats!!

    Posted with permission.

    Chew your treats!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For some time now I have not been myself. Everything just seems to be a little foggy…literally. There has been much soul searching. Just what is the problem?

The other day, I let my dog in from his outside morning ritual and he anxiously awaited his treat. Now this is no ordinary treat mind you…no no, these are soft and chewy and smell so good I have to resist snacking on them myself . Anyway, as I put the treat to his mouth he instantly (as usual) gobbled the thing down whole without chewing and stood there begging for another. I scolded him, “why do I bother giving you any treats, you do not even take the time to chew them?” Well, at the exact same time this thought processed, an epiphany or divine message was revealed to me. This thought raced through my head like a boldt of lightening…“Why do I give you life, you do not take the time to enjoy it either?” POW!!! Instant CONVICTION of the soul! (Some saviours are just soooo good at that, eh?)

Further insight into my problem came in the understanding that there is a clear and definite difference between planning for the future and LIVING in it! It is now clear to me that I have been, in fact, living in the future. Everyday, thinking next week, next week. And like an addiction to *****, spending WAY too much time thinking about the dinar…WAY TOO much!

So, I have told myself it is time that I start “chewing my treats”.

If you wake up in the morning and the first thing on your mind is the dinar and not your family…maybe you need to start chewing your treats too?

If all day long, all you can think about is next week, next month a reval…then maybe you need to stop living in the future and just plan for it instead?

Just thought I’d share this insight for those that also find themselves sorta foggy all the time.
FACT: Constant disappointment will cause clinical depression…so be careful!

…and take some time to chew those treats! Woof woof!

    Thumbs up Thank You!

That was brilliantly stated. I will take heed and chew my treats. I have been too concerned about the RV and I confess that when I wake each morning I am rushing to the Forum. Now I know I have to flip the scrip and go back to my morning ritual and take time to listen to the morning birds singing. Wow, I needed that. Thank you Sudden Impact.

Did I miss something? What was the secret news in Sudden Impact's post about the dinar?

    Good thought.

SI is just saying we need to slow down and spend a little less time focusing on the RV and more time enjoyed life one day at a time. The RV will happen in its own time but we should just prepare for it.

SI, you said that beautifully! I wanted to say something along those lines last night on my other post, but just couldn't put the words together in my head. It has taken a while, since I've come to RC, to realize that I need to "chew my treats". It's happened in phases ya know? It is great to know that RC is here as I get on with my life also. Thanks for saying it so simply!
