Economic : Des pite their reservations on the loans and grants

    09.06.07

    D. Ali Al : proper procedures required to employ these funds
    D. Ahmed Al-Wazzan : We have to benefit from the experiences of the third world in this regard

    BAGHDAD - Hassan Al-Rubaie

The two economists to the need to search for ways to overcome the dilemmas of the Iraqi economy and the search for quick output, which would remove the distortions suffered by the Iraqi economy and infrastructure support.

And projecting real, and said in an interview to "Assabah" economic : that the financial aid, grants and loans that would reduce dependence on the resources they need, and which is limited : Unknown on oil imports, which bears a private insurance revenue.

    D. Ali Al Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Economy Mustansiriyah University, said : "The proper procedures for the recruitment of funds obtained by the government either through donor conferences or by the decisions of the International Covenant must be used based on the criteria and comprehensive plans of operation and the honesty and professionalism, according to the priorities of the urgent need of the Iraqi economy and on this basis can actually that reflected positively on the growth path, reform and the conditions of the citizens pension.

He added : I think that the most important supporter must be addressed according to the great dilemmas of indexing of the Iraqi economy is how to improve the living situation of the individual and reduce unemployment rates and inflation volume and unless citizens will feel and see this type of service will remain limited to the actions tires theorizing can be exploited indiscriminately and thus vulnerable to looting and financial corruption administrative and goes on to say : to improve mobility and the sectors of electricity, water, sewage and all service sectors is very important and should receive more than others, taking into account the interconnection important in sectors such Without an accurate understanding of the economy can not achieve the desired objectives or plans for the next phase.

Operate very important and exploitation of human energies moving through the economy would reduce unemployment rates, and thus reflect on the security situation which Aithassan my estimation without attention to these aspects and the strategic outlook referring to the question of investment in productive sectors, particularly industrial them where required to take steps to lending and public companies and private companies to activate roles and we should not be looking back in the private sector, de****e repeated Akhafqath must be subjected to strict monitoring, which provides him play a significant role in the production process, and I do not mean here to identify and curtail the role because it contributes effectively to economic growth and Abran belief that there is an imbalance exists in the United laws governing private sector to be reviewed to enable it to play its role fully ...
    How to benefit from loans

Dr. Ahmed Al-Wazzan head of the Department of Economics Faculty of Administration and Economy Mustansiriyah University called for the maximum utilization of loans and grants, although their influence on the issue of national sovereignty and the lesson I think the issue is not getting money but how to use those funds and invested properly say this because many tombstones especially in the countries of the world Third was inept those funds are Tbverha according jurisprudence governments, and consequently Atneks the living situation of the population. The future trends of the Iraqi economy is not in possession of any options under a market economy unless they can to achieve growth rates, rising production and allow it to compete will be opportunities to capture negotiator escalation happening in the world economies . The options will diminish as the State Larry limited role in how to stimulate growth in various sectors, especially the private sector.

For Aare bar say that the positive aspects of the Iraqi economy comes into effect on the negatives, and perhaps difficult to understand this issue - I feel concerned for the near future and clear any conditions, whether from the International Monetary Fund or the World Bank will see the results and to improve the economic situation and come out of the concepts of totalitarian economy but needs sacrifices and periods of time up to five years or more on social welfare programs and income-generating projects and loans that contribute to the operation and production Wazzan said : it required at the present time the regulations in place in developed countries but they must be of such magnitude to Atstmer Attahol tools for consumption and weighs only our economy and our needs for more resources must be put in a time ceiling for funding sources and this important quote when escalating taxes and wanted to say that the people can spend on the poor and which one it ..
But the picture at the present time and these have different reasons and causes ...

I also call for a rapid exit from some of the current procedures we would serve the development process has disagreed with many of the privatization issue, which some say they increase unemployment This might be true at first glance, but after that will see the benefits and the benefits of the free production and its implications for everyone, especially the poor who represent a majority interest in the issue and their top priority must be swift action through the system of social welfare advanced.

Iraqi Union Leaders oppose Oil Law
    Earth Times - [10/06/2007]

Iraqi union leaders met with a U.S. congressman they say is their biggest friend in Washington, urging a united front against Iraq's draft oil law.

Faleh Abood Umara, general secretary of the Iraq Federation of Oil Unions, and Hashmeya Muhsin Hussein, president of the Electrical Utility Workers Union, called the proposed law a theft of Iraq's oil.

"We believe this is a new invasion of our economy and especially to take over our oil fields," Umara told Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, in a private meeting Thursday in the congressman ' s inner office, which UPI was allowed to attend. Kucinich is a presidential candidate and Congress ' most vocal war opponent. The law, which is stuck in negotiations, is feared by the unions as giving foreign oil companies too much access to Iraq's oil.

Umara was one of 10 union leaders for whom arrest warrants were issued earlier this week as Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki responded to a strike of oil workers, who are demanding improved working conditions and a seat at the oil law negotiating table.

The unions began a strike Monday over the law, as well as working conditions, but the work stoppage has been temporarily halted as negotiations continue in Basra.

"Therefore we believe this is a very aggressive act to take over our resources," Umara said. "The oil law, in its current status, does not serve the Iraqi people." Umara said foreign companies were welcome to Iraq's oil sector, but warned it should be limited.

The unionists urged the United States, via Kucinich, to oppose the law. President Bush and the Democratic-led Congress have called on the Iraq parliament to pass the law soon, both in official speeches and as part of legislation funding the war through September.

"Mr. Kucinich, we see you as a friend of the Iraqi people and that is the general belief over there," Umara said. "We would hope that your government could put pressure on our government to not pass the oil law." Kucinich replied, "Unfortunately our government is putting pressure on your government to pass it." Ben Lando, UPI Energy Correspondent.
