We've had this conversation several times before. We know they printed more denoms than they circulated. What could the others be? They're hardly likely to be larger! Releasing them into circulation before the RV would be too silly - everybody would know the RV was coming and buy, buy, buy. So the only way to do it is to announce the RV and THEN release the smaller denoms. So the fact that we haven't seen them yet is no indication of - anything.

If it RVs high, what would a 'run on the banks' accomplish? A run on the banks is due to people fearing they will not be able to access their money for whatever reason. With a high RV people will be richer, and therefore running to the STORE to BUY STUFF, not to the banks to make withdrawals for fear of loosing their value. Remember also, that Iraqis do not have a history of keeping funds in the banks, there is no reason for a run on the banks.

We have a wonderful opportunity to expand our horizons with the use of forums like this one, but it gets creepy when some want only to come off sounding like they know what they are talking about..when in fact they are simply strongly opinionated and quite ignorant.

You have a right cheek to call someone ignorant and get away with it...I'm sure you will garner support from like-minded people but it is totally uncalled for considering that I have not indulged in name calling and characterisation. Phew...onto the rest now... The thread in particular was meant for those who do not believe in an overnight revalue and have a different perspective to this speculative investment. Having a differing opinion does not warrant being ridiculed or picked on. I've said this many times before...members have a choice not to read a particular member's posts. It isn't rocket science. If you wish to still have a mature debate minus the needless characterisation and name-calling, I'm willing to give you the benefit of my time. Failing that, there isn't much common ground to stoke a debate in the first place...Thank you and good luck with this investment.

C'mon folks. We are all here for the same reason, and all want the same outcome. Some think it will happen very soon while others think it will take years. There is not one thing we can do about either one but sit, watch, and wait. Whose thoughts are right? Who knows. But why do so many feel it is worth fighting about. When my kids call me and are stressed out about something, this is what I tell them...Ask yourself if you can fix it, if you can then fix it and don't stress about it. If you can't, why stress about it to begin with? We are are all in this thing together until the end hopefully. No need to fight over whose theory is wrong or right and why or why not something can or can't happen. We all paid for the ticket, so why not just have fun and enjoy the ride?

Thanks. I did read the entire article like I do with most of them. The Ministers are renowned for their rhetoric...actions evade them with great frequency...let's hope they get their fingers out and do something for the people of Iraq for a change.
