Thread: Two Month Extention Comments...

Smoke and mirrors? ...hopefully? We seem SOOOO incredibly close, I really can't see them postponing the progress that is being made! (IMO! ) And I thought that they were foregoing their month long summer vacation to work...


AAAANNNDD I thought that they had the deadline of June 30th from the U.S. or their piggybank gets emptied....Just trying to put the pieces together...

I agree, we've seen them mention vacations, extensions, etc......and yet they still hold parliment and meet with other countries!

Well, I haven't seen nor read that Bush has made any announcements otherwise...is he going to get on camera and say "They've been working really hard to meet the deadline that was given to them, but they need a little more time to tie up the loose ends..." ? Man, I hope not!

This is NOT a Delay folks...It's actually exactly what we would want...NO interuptions for vacations...

They have to get this thru Parliament and 3 Readings...It takes TIME...

Agreed, no vacation delays. This shouldn't be viewed in the perspective of requiring two months to complete laws rather that there will be no time off delays in order to accomplish much.... putting too much faith in their ability? Perhaps, but it sounds good.

I read it as " We are delaying so that we can TAKE a vacation and deal with this stuff later... " or " We plan on NOT AGREEING on ANYTHING so we need another month or two so we can argue some more... "

sounds good to me. that's how i had read it in the first place..."get it done THEN take time off...."

With Iraq knowing that they have the world by "cahonies", because everyone wants their cheap oil and other resources, I believe they will move at their own pace no matter what deadlines are issued.

For the U.S. and the U.K. the Governments are past the point of no return. They have to make it happen. I highly doubt they will pull out and act upon the threat of deadlines that they have issued - and Iraq knows this very well.

I wouldn't be surprised to see another delay - JMO
