Iraq Construction Fund to Hold 1st Meeting in Baghdad with Participation of Kurdistan Region

The Fund of Iraq Construction will hold its 1st meeting in Iraq in July 7th with the participation of the states which established the Fund and with the presence of a number of the Iraqi ministers.

Dr. Dindar Zebari, the KRG Coordinator in the U.N said “It’s expected that other states to join the Fund in order to contribute in the process of constructing Iraq. The aim of holding the meeting is to organize the amounts that were allocated by the donor states. Kurdistan Region is also invited by the U.N to attend the meeting. The U.N program is going to be carried out on the regional bases. The U.N agencies can deal directly with the KRG.”

“The KRG is an important side that cannot be neglected. We as the KRG participated in many meetings and conferences concerning that issue. Our view is the priority of these states should be specified with Iraq’s contribution”, he added.
