She described her current position on the issue, said: "Our view is that we want to work with Iraq and other members of the UN Security Council to make sure that the situation in Iraq under Security Council Security Council and Chapter VII does not match with today's realities in which we live are opposed to the past as well."

UN Security Council discusses Iraq would emerge from Chapter VII in a timely manner
U.S. Delegate to the United Nations Susan Rice said Iraq's attempt to get out of Chapter VII of the issue of interest to the UN Security Council.
Rice told Kuwait News Agency that the issue of Iraq would emerge from Chapter VII will be discussed at the UN Security Council the right time.
Pointing out that the Iraq issue is still within the agenda of the UN Security Council for a fourth month in a row, and this issue remains of interest to members of the UN Security Council and will be discussed in a timely manner in which the situation is appropriate for constructive discussions and to achieve completion.
Rice indicated that Washington's view is that they want to work with Iraq and other members of the UN Security Council to make sure that the situation in Iraq under UN Security Council Chapter VII does not correspond with the realities of today are opposed to the past as well.

Mohammad Al-Sabah: We will help Iraq get out of Chapter VII
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Al-Sabah said that Kuwait will "potential" to help Iraq complete the implementation of Security Council resolutions concerning the situation between Kuwait and Iraq in order to get out an urgent international obligations.
He said in a statement made by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following a meeting between Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Iraqi President Jalal Talabani in New York, "We have a genuine desire to help Iraq to complete the implementation of these decisions because that is the way out of international obligations to complete the application."
He explained that out of Chapter VII "means completion of the application of international resolutions," referring to the example of South Africa, which was under Chapter VII and to come out to put an end to the apartheid regime, and Libya, which was under Chapter VII and walking out of it by responding to the UN resolutions. He added: "We want to not hold things and accelerate the exit of Iraq of these commitments by making it easier to apply."
