Iraqi oil minister arrives in Erbil
Iraqi Oil Minister Hussein al Shahrestani arrived in Erbil, the capital city of Kurdistan Region, on Monday noon, a source from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) told PUKmedia correspondent.

President Talabani meets with heads of Iraqi United Alliance

President Talabani expressed his delight towards this positive move referring to his last talks with the parliamentarian blocs in order to unify the Iraqis and to establish the national consensus in taking the decisive decisions. Regarding the U.S. forces withdrawal agreement, President Talabani and the members of the delegation stressed that this pact is the best among other alternatives emphasizing the necessity to gather all efforts in order to pass it.
The delegation appreciated the efforts of President Talabani in unifying the Iraqis and making the viewpoints closer.

Dollar demand doubles in CBI auction
Demand for the dollar doubled at the Central Bank of Iraq’s (CBI) auction on Monday, reaching $245.45 million compared to 110.18 million during the previous session.
The demand reached $40.1 million in cash, covered by the bank at a stable exchange rate of 1,180 Iraqi dinars, and $205.35 million in foreign transfers outside the country covered by the bank at a stable exchange rate of 1,177 Iraqi dinars per dollar, according to a CBI news bulletin.
None of the 13 banks that participated in today’s session offered to sell dollars.
The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday.

Talabani and Maliki agreed to intensify contacts in order to pass the security agreement
