    Luxury hotel, shopping mall soon in Baghdad

    Demand for dollar higher on Mon.

    Demand for the dollar was higher at the Central Bank of Iraq’s (CBI) auction on Monday, reaching $184.68 million compared to 67.295 million during the previous session.

    The demand reached $36.975 million in cash, covered by the bank at a stable exchange rate of 1,179 Iraqi dinars, and $147.705 million in foreign transfers outside the country covered by the bank at a stable exchange rate of 1,176 Iraqi dinars per dollar, according to a CBI news bulletin.

    None of the 16 banks that participated in today’s session offered to sell dollars.

    The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday.

    Al-Tamim: Referendum binds the government to accept or reject the pact

    President Talabani holds press conference in Sulaimani

    Iraqi Oil Min: 2nd Bid Round To Involve More Fields Than 1st

    The Iraq oil minister said Saturday his country will offer a second package of oil fields for tender in December.

    Speaking here on the sidelines of an Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries meeting, Hussein al-Shahristani said the new round would "involve a larger number of fields" than offered in the first bidding round.

    The first bidding round for Iraq's vast hydrocarbons fields was launched in June.
