WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR???
Hello, I posted a while back and never received an answer but I'll try and post again in hopes that someone will try and answer me. TY.
What are we waiting for when it comes to having the Iraqi Dinar made "official and public"? I, along with many others, are wondering several things?
* what is the next step that we need to see happen in order to "cash out" our dinar?
* In America, will we need to pay taxes on the income and how much? what percentage?
* I have heard that the price of fuel must go up in order for the dinar to work for us, is that the truth?
* I know that many of you have been waiting a LONG time to see the day when you can collect on the dinar, but it seems like everything has come about that needed to with the Iraqi government but now it just seems like its hanging. What are we waiting for and when the heck will it be time to cash out?
Thank you for reading and listening to my silly questions. I'm sorry that I am asking them but I have NO idea about all of this and I'm trying to search about it but it seems like no one is answering me out there. Maybe someone here can/will?
Thanks again

Iraqi Dinar Restoration Date ?
Good question,
One which all of us have been wondering for years. lol Seriously, what we are waiting for is nothing more than what has been the goal or Iraq since removal of Saddam, and that was to restore the dinar to former levels, now what that will end up being, we don't know.
When officials made these statements, it was a positive indication of their commitment, but a stable dinar was required in order for this to happen. Well, we have seen a more than stable dinar considering the ongoing internal unstable conditions, so I think that is quite amazing that dinar has steadily risen in value, even when the rest of the world currencies are in trouble.
We all know the current issue of U.S. troops staying until 2012 is awaiting for approval, but the usual internal disagreements among sects has constantly gotten in the way, so still no agreement, and UN mandate calls for agreement by end of year, so will we see it, I suspect yes, and with the rising bombings since Obama was elected are any indication, it appears it won't happen on the Bush watch, so I expect this to be delayed with an extention, so same old same old, no one can agree on anything in Iraq.
As I said long ago, they should have wiped Bagdad off the map and move the central gov to Kurdistan region and let all those who want to kill themselves do so and make the north the safe zone, or so called green zone. No one is ever going to end the killing between Shia, Sunni's and Kurds, and why we thought we could make them all live in harmony was the biggest blunder in history. They have hated eachother since the beginning of time, end of story.
What is a fact is that no matter how unstable the government leadership has been, the ongoing suicide bombings, the people still in poverty, the dinar has been the only thing that has been stable for past five years, in fact, strong, so the economy has improved, but the infrastructure is still mostly broken, all due to infighting which will never end. I predict the dinar will continue to rise in value, and given the proof of stability in an unstable country and region, sooner or later the restoration of value will happen as all these oil companies start to develop these massive reserves and secure a place in history for Iraq as the wealthiest unsafe country in the world. Remember, it is a way of life in Iraq, no one values life less than Iraqi's, why else is it so easy to recruit suicide bombers?
Iraqii people don't want to live together in harmony for the most part, and this is easy to see as the goverment offered $1M dinar to those who fled country to come back, and most won't, wonder why? This says it all to me, they know Iraq will never be safe, with U.S. extended to stay or not, the bombings will never stop, so they know the truth more than we will ever know. The smart ones fled, and the smart ones won't return no matter what the future holds. But with all these issues, economies still have to function, good, bad and ugly issues aside, I still expect to see the dinar restored to former levels in time, with a major revalue next year, and then they will test world acceptance as oil exports increase and Iraq becomes one of the wealthiest coutries in the world.
With peak oil issues proven in region, and the world demand for oil ever increasing, it is certain the Iraq reserves which are now proven to be larger than Saudi oil reserves, it will be interesting to see how powerful Iraq will become when they are largest oil producing country in middle east region, never mind the world, so I cannot see one reason not to at least level the values of currencies to other countries in middle east, but it will not happen all at once to former levels, it will be in steps to test the currencies true value, which simply has to be a lot higher than it is now. And with talk about reprinting currency over the past year, and dropping zeros still mentioned by some, yes, it will happen, but only after the first stage of restoring value is announced, and what that will be, no one will say, but it has to happen as I see it, so hang on all you dinarholics, the dinar is stable, and that is incredible first phase success as I see it.
Success to all, Mike

Capital Gains Taxes on Iraqi Dinar set to rise
Taxes for U.S taxpayers,
Now this is the question we are all concerned about in U.S. now that election is over. We know capital gains was reduced to 15% by Bush, which was great concidering we all are holding dinar and subject to long term capital gains tax, but under Obama, this is going to rise significantly, in fact, more than the previous level, may be 30% or more, so not a very good situation for anyone in U.S., but hey, remember, all the poor voted, so Obama thinks the wealth has to be spread around, and this is one example of this new policy under Obama.
I for one am not happy with this, as I am sure most are not for we all know the problems that exist with trillions in debt and no hope of recovering without taxes going through the roof, so for the poor, great, we are moving beyond the welfare state, to welfare country, so it will eventually lead to a whopping tax increase, and capital gains increase will be just the tip of this sinking iceberg as I see it. What this will do is create a massive tax revolt, as history does indeed repeat, so I wonder what those who voted for Obama will think then? Remember, as taxes keep going up to pay off the bail out of wallstreet, banks and now auto industry, where will it end? It won't, for the foreclosure issues created by these greedy wallstreeters and banking all caused by Greenspan initially, and he even admits it now, and we all know what administration has covered up the Fannie/Freddie mess, so we now have a domino effect, so I expect to see foreclosures to wipe out all real estate equity gained over the last 17 year cycle, the longest bull real estate market in history. With all the Greenspan encouraged VRM and subprime no doc mortgages, we have only seen the tip of the iceberg, so buckle up, this is even worse than I predicted a few years ago.
Success to all, Mike
