I've just read and re-read the last 15 pages on this thread, MOST of it was good news. So all it takes is a negative opinion piece about what some iraqi economists and citizens think and a couple of bad news stories (people there are bad news stories every day) and people want to abandon ship! Last week and the week before we waited for the oz forex to open and we're a lot closer now than we we were then - so why not wait and see what happens in 5 hours and if not then, when when it opens in NYC in the morning

People remember, Susy like others is just delivering what she hears and can find for us.. don't think theres anyone who wants this info to be right than Susy and those who stick their necks out there to share what they've got... but they cannot stop the events that could change the time frame due to all the unstable climate in Iraq... if the curfew ended up addressing unforseen security threats... that in its self could have affected a rv... ... we still don't know.. no doubt some of the sources giving info and explanations will still post in the next hours. We've had info from RR, & Gluphus who have bits to offer.. lets see what they all say.. for us its a financial issue for them (Iraqi) its their lives... ez :)

The problem since Aug was that there were lots of dates floating around with some claiming to be a done deal and attributing their veracity to their "sources". All the mentioned dates so far have gone past without much happening. Stating a rumour as a fact as if it had happened already and just waiting for an announcement sure bumped up hopes to great highs. No one is questioning the good intentions of those who post what they hear or learn from others. Unfortunately, due to human nature and personal circumstances, some choose to believe in these dates and "done deals" as the gospel. We can't really have a go at them for dreaming prematurely.

The bottomline is : despite the sources and tons of information being posted by well-read individuals, I don't think anyone actually knows when the revalue might happen, if at all. Most, if not all, are based on assumptions and putting 2 and 2 together. The only people who might be privy to such confidential information wiould probably never leak such information knowing fully well that it would form part of a public domain. Their jobs and lives would be in jeopardy.

It's time to take a breather and let events take their course. Don't lay too much emphasis on dates put forth by others. Whilst their intentions might be good, it's nigh on impossible to actually predict a date for the dinar revalue. It will happen when it will. In my case atleast, when times are desperate, one does lay a lot of emphasis on these dates only to be disappointed at the end.

Here's hoping that the dinar will revalue at some point in the near future rather than drag its heels.

I saw nothing wrong with what and the way you asked SGS about her lawyer information, you were not rude! She chose to use Clay as a diversion as she well knows a bunch of us used to follow Clay. SGS and Clay were once big buds too over at Atlas but I guess the romance has worn off that relationship.

i WAS NEVER a big buddy of clays at atlas. i was however used in every capacity by the creator of that site who is also a claymation of sorts.

so if you wanna throw stones at me for that go ahead,,, wont be near as bads as ive punished myself for believing it was a good place. do you see me totin that banner anymore? HELL NO.
