BAGHDAD: Iraqi Interior Minister Bayan Jabr Solagh said yesterday that the security situation in the restive capital and throughout the country has improved over the last ten days.

"I think that the situation has stabilised in the past ten days thanks to a new security plan being implemented by the ministries of interior and defense with the support of the multinational forces," Solagh said.

In fact, the security situation in the entire country is stabilising with the increased participation of Sunnis in the political process, Solagh said.

I'll try and find the link but for now I'll post this below. I believe security is the one thing we're waiting on. If we truely are near the "payout for us" then with better security this investment is poised to pay off very big in a relative short period of time. Cross your fingers and knock on wood for this to be true.
