Longer than 14, we didnt truly become a unified federal govt till the civil war ended in 1865. Just like the 3 iraqi sects, each state thought they should be left alone to make there own decisions till that point. Just saying I agree with you, its not an overnight process transforming a whole country. Just look how long it takes a business to prosper and we are judging a whole country for being to slow.They were thrown into this process for there benefit by us , they didnt plan this. Its gonna take a little time, but them and us will prosper in the end. To even get this far in rebuilding a whole country in 3 years with or without the US help, is a historical feat in itself.

The USD only has English writting, when you turn it over it does have Chinese or Spanish on it. What about the Euro or other world currencies. Dont know personally AS I have not seen or remember if other World currencies have langueges other than the countries of their origin.

I have some old Chinese currency from the 1920's and 1930's, They were printed by De LaRue and American Banknote. They have Chinese on one side and English on the other side..

I always assumed that it was in English on the back due to the fact we (the US) WERE the provisional government after the second gulf war . . .when the currency was designed and printed. Did you expect it to be in French?

And are we really sure that the English side is the back and not the front? Enquiring minds want to know!

I don't won't to get anyone worked up here but how do you think the Iraqi's take a woman coming over and telling them to get it together? I know the new Iraq is more tolerant but old ways don't just go away.

Baghdad-a. P. B : exhorted American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Iraqi officials yesterday evening to stop the violence, asserting that "no time to put endless debates on this issue."
Rice said to reporters who Irafqunha tour in the Middle East on board the plane, "it is clear that the security situation could not be tolerated and that does not help the political stalemate across they do not have time for endless debate on this issue."
Rice has arrived in Baghdad on a surprise official visit coming on board the aircraft, "the Hercules C-130" boarded from a military base in Turkey coming from Tel Aviv.
However, the visit was delayed 45 minutes behind schedule because the airport was closed due to the failure of some missiles, which caused the aircraft to overfly all this time.
