Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Sadly, the imans and the fanatics (including president of Iran) will always give the blame on the jews and USA. This is the case on the latest bombing of the holy mosque. The negativie focus in Iraq done by western media was mentioned, but we should also be aware of the media in the arab countries. They all embrase the idea of US and Israel as the big bad wolf. This shows the importance of "balansed" news-reporting to inform, not to stir up the cup in any voilent directions.

they blame the jews and the u.s.? oh, what has the nice fair play u.s. done now? they could'nt have stirred any nests. they'd never do such a thing. when it's mcdonald's, brought to you by mcdonnel douglas. who would'nt be pissed!?
anyway, ompus is having a 10% off sale. maybe next month it will be 50%.
Fanatics blame everyone, not just the Jews and U.S. And as far as your expected useless post about sale, this was Ompus saying thank you for patience while software change and merchant issues prevented orders from being processed, so I for one think it was a nice gesture on their part, but you, you take it as another chance to make another snide useless remark. This sale is a thank you sale, not a fire sale as you seem to want to imply.
Good luck to all, Mike

What we are seeing are the fanatics on TV, and this is why media outlets are to blame in insiting more fanatics, so for the thousands you see burning flags and throwing rocks, there are millions and millions who would never do such a thing, expecially for the reasons they have seen.
When you talk to the average person on the street in Iraq, you would get a 180 degree opposite answer as you will from the acts of fanatics, and terrorists are heartless non religious group who kill children and bomb the innocent to insite civil war among the religious sects, but the faithful would never condone these acts of violence, and the latest bombing was a perfect example to prove it was outsiders, non Iraqi terrorists who were behind this, as in AK insurgents, and everyone in Iraq knows this now.
The mosque was actually Shite, but was in Suni dominanted village, so how crazy was this given both worshipped there and was where one of the countires most reverant religious figures was buried, so neither side would ever be involved, but did anyone see that little fact on the news? I rest my case, this was merely another attempt at upsetting the upcoming cabinet meeting which was successful, as it was delayed another week or so, but that is all, and calm is being restored, so time will tell.
Good luck to all, Mike

What most don't know is the average Iraqi who was earning $50. under Saddam is now earning $200. for same work, and this is more than in the history of economy, so ask these people if they are better off now than while under Saddam and you will get the real truth of what is going on behind the scenes, and never reported on the media. Now with this inflation, which is nothing more than a correction, and a good one at that, this will force an adjustment to currency higher than first calculated, and it is being discussed as we speak as it is a moving target, as inflation often times is.
As to my speculations, which mean nothing, I would say it will now be higher than the .10 I had inititally expected after 18 months, but now with everything coming together 6 months sooner than expected, and with inflation and value of real estate starting even before peg, this throws a monkey wrench into the mixer, which in this case is good news for us. I would now think .40 is closer to reality as the pressure for higher reval builds.
Interesting enough, I heard even higher is likely from information within Iraq, but I won't even go there. LOL I would still be happy with .10 and allowed to float to level by basic economics which will then rise to .40 quickly anyhow in my opinion.
Good luck to all, Mike
