i personally think the press conference has to do with the MOF and theres only one thing i can think of him doing and that is to present the economic relief via the fil/rv to the people of iraq.

I've heard either 1pm or 2pm - Baghdad-time. Not sure if it was ever resolved as to which time it really is... But for me, since I have a 22-month old at home, I'll just assume it has happened by the time I wake up in the morning.

I'm all for an anouncement on the 12th, however I've been thinking, would they anounce an RV before they hand out the 10k to everyone?

It might cause chaos if everyone in Iraq realized that they are getting $10,000 instead of $6.80 in two weeks. Any thoughts?

I think your right SGS,

I think it will RV tomorrow. They passed the Law but have not implemented it but that does not mean they can not RV.

I know I have said this many times but President Bush has a role in this thing and he needs an RV before the US elections and voting starts 21st October. If they RV now if will give him time to use for his campaign. Iraq knows they need to keep as many Republicans in the house for continued support from the US JMO.
