To me all this sounds like we are not that close as we have thought and IF there is a reval, it will not be that high as we have hoped. This is far away from a done deal as we have heard

No r/v guys, am not surprised.
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

Iraq's Minister of Finance Baqir Solag Al-Zubaidi stated that Iraq's budget for next year will be $33 billion.

The Minister pointed out that for the first time the budget will depend not only on oil but on additional resources such as customs and taxes.
Customs means Trade coming in. From Taraffs and Taxes. Foriegn Trade. And then Yes the Oil. Big Oil Companies from the Outside. This is what they are antisipating on for the Budget to be meet from.

$200 000 is very much. Hmmmmmm nononono

    tell me iīm wrong

I guess another way of looking at it is at the current rate that would be about $137 dollars a year. My guess that they have something already figured out as far as a ratio after a reval. Good information though...

A adjustment is just as easy.

    Default Stay positive people!!!

Seems like a lot of people are disapointed this morning and I just want to remind everyone how far we have come. I have been in this for almost tow years now and when I first got in I figured it would be at least 5-10 years. Everymorning we wake up is like we have a chance of winning the lottery...most people can not say that!!! I really believe we are on the home stretch and from anytime now thru the next 6 months all of our dreams will come true...I can wait for that!!

My cousin chats/videos a male teacher in Baghdad and he told us months ago that 200,000 dinar was his monthly salary. Last week he fled Iraq for hopefully a better life in Syria.

7000 dinar meal allowance for a month. That's about $4.00
And a adjustment to a r/v is simple when it happens. They are just adjusting the pay hikes at the moment......and for so many. so you would think dam they got to print more dinar. Nope. then comes the r/v. Then comes the adjustment all in motion.

    Example:
    1. Say 1:1 r/v , Instead of giving the officer 7000nid's he will get just 4nid's.

    2. Teacher gets 200,000nid raise = $136.00, After r/v if it was 1:1 then the Teacher gets 136nid's.

This is how I see that it will and can adjust in a split second. IMHO. Makes since.

They adjust the dinar to the orginal raise. Simple IMHO.

Thank you, Neno. I wasn't expecting an RV until next week, but I can't help but feel very discouraged about the pay rates. I guess I need a boost right now.....
