Yes, technically they had to meet, but they did meet to make amendment to change date to following Sunday due to mosque bombing, then they made it Thursday, so we shall see soon when the peg will happen. I like your dreams Karin, mine are .90, but I would be happy with .65 too. (g)

My bet is 50 cents to a dinar is just nice for the start ! Will it go back to the original value at 3.40, it will not happen in this way.

He said that it will take another couple weeks to have cabinet meeting and finalize everything. They are close to mutual agreement, but this bombing had put meeting a week behind schedule, so nothing to worry about, it will still happen. As Adam stated, yes, the meeting made it official, now the clock is ticking to resolve the final issues on who will be appointed to what post. Step by step, we will soon see peg.

Maybe we should start a pool, bet on date and peg amount, and make it payable in dinar. Say $25,000.00 units to start. LOL

hey mike FYI - I just checked with compass bank for iraqi dinar, tried 3 branches and got same reply..they are no longer selling it. Adster - I have sent an email to the gentleman you referred me too..waiting on a response...
