    Cool 2 years from now.

I listen to the Interview today about this from a General of the British Army. He said they will not go against Tony Blair for they stay of at least 2 more years. But then it will be a must to leave.

Also listen to James Baker's Interview today. Was blown away with what he had to say of the safty in Baghdad. Must find a article (Official) to see a report from this. To me it sounded pretty Dang good in Baghdad.

Shiites push for British troops to leave - Yahoo! News

BASRA, Iraq - Many Shiites in this southern port city say they want British troops to leave, though the region is still bloodied by a persistent grind of killings, including Sunni insurgent bombings and Shiite-on-Shiite slayings amid a competition for political control.

Several prominent Basra leaders on Friday agreed with an assessment by Britain's army chief that the British presence only worsens the violence and the soldiers should withdraw soon. Gen. Richard Dannatt backpedaled Friday from the comments he made in an interview a day earlier, saying he meant troops should leave within years, but the statements caused a political storm in Britain.

In Basra, Shiites insist the British presence only provides a target for attackers seeking to end the "occupation" — and some said the troops are doing nothing to rein in party-backed Shiite militias that have risen to prominence.

"To tell the truth, (the British) have caused the chaos and the security decline in southern Iraq, especially Basra, by their leniency with the militias and their parties," said Ghali Nijm, head of the Shiite Wifaq party in Basra.

Added Aqil Talib, a member of the Basra provincial council from the Shiite Fadila party: "The British presence is no longer desired, as is that of the Americans and others, even though the British are kinder than the Americans."

(The middle part I left out, this is the last two portions of the article!)

The desire to see foreign troops leave is also fueled in part by Shiite insistence they can run their own affairs.

"The British forces entered Iraq and liberated it from the Saddam regime," said one Basra resident, Essam Mohammed. "Since they have fully accomplished their mission, they should now leave Iraq ... because they are creating some obstacles and problems for the Iraqi people."

Default IMF calls on oil producers to more spending

IMF calls on oil producers to more spending
    Translated version of http://www.aladalanews.com/
(Fifth Arabic tab on the right side, then second article down!)

Justice / follow-up to the International Monetary Fund said that the countries of the Middle East and Central Asia started to spend more of its revenue from oil, limiting the growth of the surplus external transactions, which is now an important part of the causes for the breakdown of world trade balances.

He called on oil producers to fund spend more to help reduce the American trade deficit growing, amid expectations that exceed surplus of Petroleum Exporting Countries this year, his emerging Asian economies, He said the Regional Director of the Dubai : The private sector spends a greater share of oil revenues from what has been times price hikes in the past, turning companies such as those of the UAE player in the activities of the President of ownership and possession world, The International Fund estimated that the Arab Gulf States, including Saudi Arabia, the biggest oil exporter worldwide intends to spend about 700 billion dollars in five years until 2010, , or about 55% of the total projected surplus of transactions taking place in that period, and even this figure seems small compared to the huge amounts of money collected by exporters energy Middle East and Central Asia, with oil prices registration record levels before they reach the peak at more than 78 dollars a barrel in July, The International Monetary surplus in China increased to two examples of the time in 2003 to 2005 when calculated as a proportion of world GDP, while the surplus as oil-exporting countries three times during the same period, The figures showed that the Fund was calculating the average price of a barrel of crude oil at 35 dollars the budgets of Petroleum Exporting Countries of the region in 2006, Khan said that the government started now take into account the higher prices, and a larger number of pumping oil revenues to infrastructure and real estate development investments and the energy sector, The governments according to the report of the Fund to save about 90% of the increase of oil income entered the closet last year, with the disappointing low rate to 60% this year. He expected the IMF in the report that the surplus is projected to current transactions of the oil-exporting region slightly in 2007, from about 25% of gross domestic product or 325 billion dollars this year.

(Wait till OPEC starts a slow-down and it starts hoping over there!)

Default Blair gives backing to Army chief

(Looking for this one! I read/heard a good report, but forgot, since reading was during work and conferences, hard to remember and bookmark!)

Tony Blair has given his support to the new head of the UK army, who has made controversial comments on the Iraq war.
Mr Blair said Sir Richard was saying "the same as we all are", but had been taken out of context in the newspaper. He later told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that when he talked about pulling out of Iraq "sometime soon", he meant "when the mission is substantially done, we should leave".

And he said the view that the presence of UK troops exacerbates the problems was "not right across the country", but in parts of it. The prime minister said two provinces had already been handed back to the Iraqis "precisely because the job has been done there".

Mr Blair said he suspected Sir Richard had given a long interview to the Daily Mail and had then been taken out of context. But he added: "I've read his transcript of his interview on the radio this morning, and I agree with every word of it."

    Iraqi response
A spokesman for Iraqi President Jalal Talabani said the departure of multi-national troops now "would be a disaster".

Iraq's ambassador to Britain, Dr Salah al-Shaikhly, said British soldiers were close to completing their mission.

"You've done marvellous in terms of the development, you've done marvellously in terms of keeping the security," he said.

White House spokesman Tony Snow said the United States had sought clarification on Sir Richard's comments.

"What he said is that the comment was taken out of context and his general point was that you know when your work is done you hand over authority to the Iraqis."

In Basra, Maj Gen Ali Hammadi, the Iraqi security co-ordinator, has told BBC's Newsnight that if the British stopped arrest operations in the city, the level of violence there would drop by 80%.

A small RV would help folks say $1.43 per Iraqi Dinar, what do you say?

i have had communication with the gentleman who ACTUALLY DROVE several BILLION dinar in a container to the launchpad at the military airport in baghdad, which was taken from his truck, loaded into the plane, and IMMEDIATELY lifted off to its destination of the USA.

this was my confirmation of the picture that i saw on the internet with US fed guards in front of palettes of dinar in the national reserve, which has since pissadeered into thin air.

Tamimi added, "It is not possible that they violated happy this is not worth anything as it would cause much trouble for most families, particularly some of it justified to raise prices."
He explained, "the disparity in the amount of the grant between families seems clear, it is calculated on the basis of per capita as well as elsewhere between rich and poor and this is not reasonable There is no need originally. "
He pointed to "the importance of the establishment of controls and reasonable standards, according to the differences, particularly as the cons will be more of the positives."
He added : "Ftdaayat market and the rise in prices which occurs generally reflected on everyone without exception, as long as the ration card standard adopted with regard to the number of families and individuals, it should be a lump sum calculated according to the family and not the individual."

He added, "We can not get rid of the psychological factors due to these differences."
He pointed out that "this grant made way for the employee and retired, who had hoped to receive a lump-sum grant from the elections as was the case in previous times."
He said that "ten thousand dinars fill the eighth suit a small child or a model can be purchased for Eid," expressing his hope to increase this amount.
