Yeah, I like listening to the freedinar calls, and Dan does have a lot of talent when it comes to speaking to people. On a human level the guy does have feelings and I hope he doesnt think people here are bashing him, it's just something about the whole MLM thing that can set people off, and I am sure he understands that full well.

The second statement was because we or should I say I, am not aware of the structure they are in. (I am totally in the dark about the infrastructure of the bank). I have seen setups where some other part of a building shuts or loses power and other businesses are affected. Being that we have IED's, insurgents, bad construction from many contractors, it was an assumption on my part, but you are right, in a normal structure, a business shutdown should not affect this.

the cbi should have backup generators etc. to guarantee non outtage. also they are in the green zone which should make a difference too.

Q:Can I renew a domain in REDEMPTION period?


A:Unfortunately, when a domain has been in expiry and not properly renewed for at least 40 days is deleted from the Registrar's database. After this point, the Registry will hold the domain in the "Redemption Grace Period" for 30 days.
.COM and .NET domains will show this as Status: REDEMPTIONPERIOD
.ORG, .INFO, .BIZ and others will show this as Status: PENDING DELETE RESTORABLE

Please note that attempts were made to contact the Email addresses on the domain's registration record. Having current, valid contact information is a requirement for all who register a domain name, as highlighted in the agreements when the domain was first registered. Renewal reminders and other important information are sent to these contacts, and having an invalid email address or aggressive SPAM filters in place will prevent delivery of these messages.

The Registry-imposed Redemption Grace Period lasts for 30 days, and it's still possible to recover a domain in this state. However, it is more time consuming and complicated than if the domain was "renewed" normally during the first 40 days of expiration. Tucows/OpenSRS is a wholesale registrar and does not deal with individual domains. The Registration Service Provider who the domain was with before it was deleted facilitates it's recovery and you should contact them to begin this process. If you are unable to contact your RSP, please contact our Sales department directly at [email protected]. They will determine if your Registration Service Provider is still in business and will help you remedy the situation.

In general the Registry will drop the domain between day 70 to 75 after the expiration date. However, THERE IS NO METHOD TO DETERMINE EXACTLY WHICH DAY THE DOMAIN WILL DROP. The Registry randomizes the drop process over a 5 day period in order to provide equal opportunity for the general public to re-register the domain.

I read earlier about the US giving Iraq a deadline of 21 October. Not sure how much to read into it especially after Bush promised continued support but there are certainly 'mind games' going on......

I read somewhere, can someone confirm?, that the CBI is not on the street that is closed - Am I just nutty or was that confirmed earlier today?

i believe that is an adjoining street. it said not only the street was closed down but ESPECIALLY two districts. i have seen repeated addresses of banks which are in these districts.
