That is the best idea yet. I just called my nieces husband who spent two tours over in Iraq. I asked him if he knew anyone over there who he could contact. He said he would do his best to make contact with a friend.
He said he would get back to me if he made contact.

Default Iraq removes key police commanders

Iraq removes key police commanders By BUSHRA JUHI, Associated Press Writer
Tue Oct 17, 2:32 PM ET

Iraq's Shiite-dominated Interior Ministry said Tuesday it had stripped two officers of their duties directing commando units, calling the move part of a restructuring plan for the national police force.

Ministry spokesman Brig. Abdul-Karim Khalaf said the two officers — Maj. Gen. Rashid Filah and Maj. Gen. Mahdi Sabbih — were transferred from their posts, but he gave no concrete indication of any plans for the men.

The move wasn't a demotion for the men and was unrelated to widespread allegations that police commandos were involved in some of the violence directed against Sunni Arabs.

"The leadership of the national police was changed to restructure the Interior Ministry," said Khalaf, flanked by Filah and Sabbih in business suits, rather than the camouflage fatigues associated with Iraq's police commandos.

Khalaf said the restructuring of the ministry, which is in charge of the police, would touch all departments and may result in the creation of new ones. He did not elaborate.

The ministry said last week it had fired 3,000 employees accused of corruption or rights abuses and that it intended to change top commanders as part of a restructuring plan designed to bolster its ability to combat violence. It said a total of 600 from the 3,000 personnel fired will face prosecution.

Shiite militias linked to religious parties in the government are widely thought to have infiltrated Iraq's police force. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, himself a Shiite, pledged this week to crack down on the militias.

Default Bush opposes three-way partition of Iraq: TV interview

Bush opposes three-way partition of Iraq: TV interview Tue Oct 17, 9:50 AM ET

US President George W. Bush said in a television interview that he opposed dividing Iraq into a Kurdish, a Shiite and a Sunni region, which he said would create even more chaos.

"Three autonomous regions will create not only a situation where Sunnis and Sunni nations and Sunni radicals will be competing against Shia radicals. The Kurds will then create problems for Turkey and Syria," he said in an interview with Fox News.

"And you have got a bigger mess than we have at this point in time, which I believe is going to be solved."

The Iraqi parliament on October 11 approved a law which would allow the country's 18 provinces to hold referendums to merge into larger federal regions with a measure of self-government.

This is expected to confirm the de facto self-rule already enjoyed by the Kurdish north and lead to a new Shiite homeland in the oil-rich south.

The measure is opposed by some in the minority Sunni community, who fear that their group will be left with territory in the barren west and center of the country.

Iraqi lawmakers however agreed to freeze the merger process for 18 months to give time to revise the country's constitution.

Bush also said that violence in Iraq could not be summarized as an insurgency fueled by Iran.

"I think the enemy is more complex than that," he said. "We are concerned about some Iranian involvement, particularly in the delivery of certain kind of weapons.

"But the violence that the American people see on their screens is some sectarianism, some criminal activity, and al-Qaeda. And we are dealing with all three," he said.

"If we see more Iranian involvement, weΒ’ll adjust our tactics to meet that threat," he said

    Was it a hoax???

Upon closer examination of the posts on T&B, it appears there were 2 different posters named ARMYMP, one with a URL linked to their name and the other without. Also, there appear to be 2 different posters named Jimmy Bennett, one with one "t" in their last name, and one with 2 "t"'s. also one capitalized the JR, and one didn't. while this neither proves or disproves anything, maybe the original posts were authentic, with imposters posting afterwards to promote mayhem. You are probably right. Jimmy was most likely mixing glue and heroin and his alter ego, Armymp, emerged. Just a thought..
