I think that something is happening over there. Some type of closed mouth program for their finance unit. They have people going into Asia, the HCL coming due for signing, the FIL to implement...just seems like a heck of a lot of progress for this type of blackout to be nothing...jmho

1. CBI website is down and has been for close to 24 hours now
2. Warka bank website is also down.
3. Bank of baghdad has pricing from 10-15-06
4. Major roads are closing down in the central part of Iraq business sector.
5. Chase bank as of this morning stopped selling dinar. (Chase bank owns bank of Iraq)
6. Minister of Oil has left to china, japan and australia to do what again?

does anyone else see this as being very strange?

Chase owns Bank of Iraq? Someone posted earlier that they called Chase and was told they could still buy

maybe not strange, but enigmatically shrouded by a fog of mystery and puzzlement.... yes.

Could this be why the CBI is down and telephone service out at the bank?


Baghdad : Al-Sabah Al-Jadeed
In an effort to improve communications service in Iraq and the Ministry of Communications has a new plan to develop communications in Baghdad and other governorates, and the rehabilitation of the telephone network.
A source in the ministry said that this plan includes a call companies qualified for the repair and maintenance of terrestrial and cellular telephone network for the development of the communications sector and the telephone service to what it was.

He added that the plan include repair and maintenance of exchanges throughout Iraq, stressing that his ministry was seeking to provide the best services to the citizens in light of the current circumstances and that it is working on a new memorial ODP and rehabilitation switches unemployed and rely on exchanges in the development of modern communications throughout Iraq.
The ministry had earlier announced a plan to install new exchanges in Baghdad and the other governorates and networking calls for the development of telecommunications.
