There was a $1 Trillion bill printed.

Or that could have been in The Simpsons....

    Default Large Denomination Notes

    Thanks Mike.

Yes, the obvious is to change them at the bank for smaller denominations, and therefore decide for yourself when to change them for USD's.

But surely you will only be able to change them if it's a traded currency. So, what would happen if they were withdrawn before the NID hits the markets?

Is there any chance that they could be withdrawn without us having the chance to change them, either for lower denominations or for USD's?

    Greetings,

There is nothing to worry about for the $25K notes are not going anywhere, they will simply be phased out over time, and what this means is they will not be printed, not that they will be pulled. Again, the same thing happened with US big notes, but they still exist and can be cashed in the same as when they were last printed in 1934, or at least that is the date on my $500. notes I collected. I don't remember when they were last printed, but the issue of pulling large notes is nothing to be concerned over.

    Good luck to all, Mike

Australia cancels 80 percent of its Iraqi debt
    Friday, May 12th 2006

The Government of Iraq announced May 11 that it has signed a bilateral agreement with Australia canceling the equivalent of $856 million of Iraqi debt, amounting to 80 percent of Australia's claims against Iraq.

The bilateral agreement implements the Agreed Minute concluded in November 2004 between Iraq and 18 Paris Club creditor countries.

Earlier this year, Iraq signed similar accords with the Netherlands, Finland, the Republic of Korea and Sweden; in 2005, Iraq signed similar bilateral agreements with Canada, Italy, Belgium, Japan, Austria, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Spain and Germany. The United States cancelled 100 percent of its claims against Iraq in December 2004.

Comfort is EXACTLY what I'm thinking too! No, I won't be a 'millionaire', but it will sure FEEL like it to me! We need a house with another bedroom and more square footage...I would LOVE to be able to find one that I like and "just buy it"!

I broke down and told my husband what I've been 'doing' here(I wanted to just surprise him!) , and he just got real quiet and looked at me kind of strange...then he asked 'How many of these things have you bought?' My reply was just the teeeeensiest of white lies...'Just a couple hundred thousand, baby...I know how these internet scams are...and you've always told me NEVER to get involved in them!' (all the while big-blinking-brown-eyes...lol!)

My thoughts are, if it pegs at a 'nice' rate, I could find a house, buy it, close on it, and then take him to see it and say "SURPRISE!!! Look what my SCAM bought us!" (all the while doing my little happy-boogie-dance!lol!) WoooHoooo!

Thanks for listening to my craziness! I don't have anyone to share it with except you all! Lol!

Love to all of my Dinar-Friends!
    Tiff :-)
