Hmmmm, what should I put for my 100th post to become a Senior Member? Gosh, there are just so many things that I could discuss or relate to that would be fitting for a good 100th post. What to do, what to do......uh...wait.

Opps. well it looks like I already have an answer.

I would like to thank everyone that helped make this possible. There's Mr. Dancing Banana, the Red Dot guy..... all the forum members that offered the un-ending support......

OK I'm getting silly now. Can't help it, I smell an RV coming!

Just called SafeDinar, spoke to Garret and YES they are still sending out Dinar at the usual rate! The confusion may be this....FREEDINAR has stoped sales and shipping not SAFEDINAR

Dear Ompus / FreeDinar members and customers,
Last night at around midnight Arizona time, the website for the Central Bank of Iraq went down. They normally post the daily exchange rates at 2:30 am (again, AZ time). However, when 2:30 came and went, with the site still being down it made us wonder. After our local “geek” did some investigating we found that the site was not down due to circumstances such as weather, or bad connections. It was taken down by someone at the CBI.
For this reason, along with all the recent news good economic news (Foreign Investment Law passed, the Hydrocarbon Law being voted on, the 10K Dinars being distributed to their citizens, and much, much more) we have decided to suspend sales immediately.
We have taken our entire inventory off the site, and any checks that come in after this announcement, or that haven’t been cashed will be placed on hold.
Because of the fact that NOBODY can get the current exchange rate of the Dinar, I would assume that no dealer, including Chase Bank is currently selling.

If and when CBI posts the rates, and if they are new (like we have all been waiting for) we will send out a new email, and depending on what the rate is, we will either be selling Dinar, buying Dinar, or retiring from the business!

Of course we hope the latter, and we also hope that many of you will also be able to retire or at least live your dreams.

We also hope that many of you will not forget the men and woman that have fought for us and Iraq and have given the ultimate sacrifice. I know many charity’s here in Phoenix that will be having a very good year, if this all pans out the way we hope.

I personally do not think that you would see any change at all. I belive that they have what they want in their coffers and would only stop selling if they had to use, what they had put away for themselves. They are going to make money weather they are buying or selling.

Has anyone heard from RR lately. Last I heard is that Indira said they had not distributed the debit cards in the Northern Province yet. Seems like nothing could happen until all the country was on an equal footing. They could have significant upheaval over something like that.

But, you also have to remember that they reserve the right to return your money to you and not give you dinar. So if the r/v does happen before I pick up my last order, they will just refund my money, or I will have to pay the difference in exchange.

It's possible they will keep selling from a stash they have on hand based on the rate they purchased them until they hear otherwise. Just a thought.

Actually, SafeDinar told me that they would contact FedEx and have the package returned in the event of a reval while the package was in transit. That was back when I first started buying from them. They have the tracking system and can recall it at anytime.

Correction,

Just so you know, if it is sent FedX, it can be cancelled before delivery, so COD makes no difference, with computers you can cancel delivery anytime you want in a couple seconds with FedX.
