they aren't going to take a hit on giving somone a 15,000% return, just on the chance they might keep your business long enough to recoup that back. sorry, but no one in banking is that stupid.

1 SDR = 0.26662 US

1 Jordan = 1.40160 US
1 US = 0.71347 Jordan

1 US = 1,533.70 IQD
1 IQD = 0.0006520 US

He is saying they use OANDA for lookup as I can do this too, which I already know this...

He is at his desk using the American Express Currency Converter on his computer at AMEX... Hesaid there currency converter is there for public use as well...

I just got off the phone with Capital One International Department in New Orleans and they are still selling the dinars at the same rate they sold them last Friday.

Don't want to lead him to someone with just his d*ck in hand...

When I placed my order with Chase last week, they stated they would sell but were not buying (exchanging). I asked if any of their locations were and she stated "maybe downtown" (OKC) . Not sure if it is a location by location thing or what.

Just watching Fox News with Shepard Smith. They had a report on Iraq. Apparently Maliki met with Al Sadr today as well as Sustani (sp?) I can't remember who is shiite and who is sunni - but both are Clerics in leadership positions with their people. The report was that Maliki is trying to unify the country and stop the sectarian violence - both leaders met with him today (separately) and had photo ops. It makes you wonder if the individual tribal leaders will be given a heads up as to any big changes (let's face it the dinar revaluing will be huge internally) in an effort to "control the reaction" among the people. Considering that the factions fight about everything (see republicans and democrats) they will probably fight about the RV amount when it is announced. JMO!!!

Stocks traded normally on the ISX today. Don't know how this would effect
all the discussion's about the CBI website being down. But they must have used something to gauge a value with all the trades being made.

Anyway to find out what the value was?

Are the banks even open to the public?

Hear Iraq was going to give out 10,000 dinar - have you heard anything on this? When they maybe doing it?

Oh heard the Parliment was doing great on passing laws the last few weeks - any idea when the dinar will be traded worldwide?

Hope this helps
He said, WOW!!!
He will have to put calls in to people to ask those questions and does not think anyone in his office or building will know the answer to these questions but he will ask around...
He is the head of the Call Centers, here in America and Internationally...
It may take him a few hours or a few days to find out anything in response to these questions, this topic is way off his duties in AMEX, but he can make some calls around to help me...

BTW... he thinks we are all crazy

I have to get to work, will post anything I hear later tonight EST if he finds anything out!!!

I was told the same thing about a month ago. It seems they used to have Amex do their foreign currency exchanges and then recently changed to Bank of America. No reason given for the change. But before they changed to BOA, you couldn't buy dinars at the teller's windows at Chase (at least not that I know of) after the change you can.

Are we there yet? I'm getting really tired of waiting and I am getting wet from all of the dribbling. Come on you know it is the right thing to do for your country. R/V the thing in 1 large dramtic move to over 1 usd at least (1 sdr will be fine for a start) will ya?
